If you need to change or cancel your travel plans, here are a few things you should know change fees will apply, but your new flights may be charged a fare difference.
In accordance with our no-show policy, you must change or cancel your reservation before your flight departs in order to receive a future travel credit.
Same-day approved changes can be made during the check-in window. A fee of $25-$50 will apply, but the fare difference will not be charged on Saver fares.
Economy fares can be canceled for a full refund in accordance with our 24-hour cancellation policy. Saver fares are subject to a credit of 50% of the ticket price when canceled at least 14 days before the first flight of the ticket.
Alaska offers three different fare types. except that by default, there are different types of change policies for each rate type, but one for premium views.
Price Save your small fees, similar to a basic economy ticket. Even if these are the most restrictive, it is decided that you will not cancel any type of change, devolution, or cancellation.
To change Saver rates, you must first cancel and book. The only way to get a cash refund for a Saver flight is to cancel it within 24 hours of booking. However, you can cancel a Saver fare up to 14 days before travel and receive 50% of the fare plus all taxes and fees as a travel credit.
When you change volumes, you will have to pay the difference between your original volume and the new volume you choose. If the new price is lower than the original, you will receive a refund.
To make a same-day change, you'll have to pay $25-$50 in most cases, but you won't be charged the difference in fare. You can only make changes during the same-day check-in window, and you must request changes before the departure of your original flight.
Your new desired flight must depart on the same calendar day as your originally scheduled flight and you must maintain the same origin, destination, transit, and connecting cities.
Same-day exchange fees are waived for customers with refundable tickets. This is also deducted for MVP Gold and MVP Gold 75K Mileage Plan members and travelers with similar bookings.
The first thing to do when you want to change flights to Alaska is to determine what type of fare you want. If it's a saver fare, you're out of luck – saver fares are not eligible for changes. However, if it is within 24 hours of booking, you can cancel the Saver fare for a full refund.
If you have a main or first-class fare, remember that you can make free changes. The only thing you have to pay for is any difference in fare. To get started, log in and find the flight you want to change in the "Upcoming Trips" section of your account. Then select "Change booking".
Step 1: Select the passenger(s) you want to make changes to.
Step 2: Select "Change this trip".
Step 3: In the Departing Flights section, click the Change Flight tab.
Step 4: Select the fare type you want from the drop-down menu.
Step 5: Click the Continue button at the bottom of the page.
Step 6: Select a new flight. Any difference in fares or outstanding credits will be shown on the right.
Step 7: Proceed to checkout and finalize your changes.
It is usually easy to make flight changes online. Your flight can be changed online if:
You purchased your ticket directly through Alaska Airlines.
There are no passengers registered for any flight in the reservation.
Your reservation does not include savings fares or government fares.
Your reservation includes seven or fewer guests and/or is not part of a larger group booking.
Your reservation does not include more than eight flight segments.
Your reservation is not a Mileage Plan award ticket for travel on Cathay Pacific or LATAM.
No special services, such as pet accommodation, were requested at the time of your booking.

Alaska flight change fee
Alaska flight change fees vary depending on fare. Alaska Airlines in particular offers a wide variety of fares. At these fares, Alaska Airlines has no change fees for First Class or Main Class passengers. Thus, it is more flexible for passengers of both (First Class and Main Class) to change flights.
