About Fab Lab

Fab Lab (digital fabrication laboratory) was set up to inspire people and entrepreneurs to turn their ideas into new products and prototypes by giving them access to a range of advanced digital manufacturing technology. The Fab Lab was designed around the emerging possibility for ordinary people to not just learn about science and engineering but actually design machines and make measurements that are relevant to improving the quality of their lives and the communities around them.

The idea was conceived by renowned inventor and scientist Professor Neil Gershenfeld at Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT). His idea was a simple one: to provide the environment, skills, advanced materials and technology to make things cheaply and quickly anywhere in the world, and to make this available on a local basis to entrepreneurs, students, artists, small businesses and in fact, anyone who wants to create something new or bespoke.

Fab Lab Daejeon is specialized in [Fast prototyping] and [Design Thinking Process].

You can get help from 3 instructors who have wide experience in Digital Fabrication & Craft design.

1. Making Area_01 : 99 square meter / 3 tables / 12 chairs

2. Making Area_02 : 100 square meter / 2 tables / 10 chairs

We work from Monday to Sunday 10:00~21:00 officially.

※ We don't open Monday. On weekends, Only paid membership can use Fab Lab.

팹랩대전(Fab Lab Deajeon)은 만드는 공간(Makerspace)입니다. 우리는 만드는데 필요한 작업 공간과 도구 그리고 다양한 재료들을 보유하고 있습니다.

디지털 제조 장비(3D프린터, 레이저커터, CNC라우터, 디지털 자수기, 비닐커터), 목공장비(각도절단기, 테이블쏘, 스크롤쏘, 연마기, 드릴프레스), 피지컬 컴퓨팅 도구(납땜기, 전원공급기, 각종 센서류) 등 다양한 도구들을 직접 사용할 수 있습니다.
