Welcome to my personal webpage. I'm Assistant Professor of Electronics at the Department of Engineering, University of Naples "Parthenope" (Italy). I have the National Scientific Qualification as Associate Professor in Electronics - Abilitazione scientifica nazionale (ASN) a Professore di II fascia Settore 09/E3 Elettronica.
My research activity is focused on the design, simulation, fabrication and testing of novel fiber optic sensors for the measurement of physical, chemical and biological parameters. I am mainly involved on: fabrication of long period gratings (LPG) in specialty optical fibers; investigation of fiber optic sensors under different ionizing radiations; development of fiber based bio-chemical sensors for medical and industrial applications; environmental and structural monitoring. Main technologies involved: fiber Bragg grating (FBG), LPG, lossy mode resonance (LMR), localized surface plasmon resonance (LSPR), fiber interferometers.
