These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your download, installation, access to, and use of Flashlight Launcher: LED Torch (“Flashlight Launcher” or the “App”).
The App is provided by STARKEY HONG KONG LIMITED (“STARKEY,” “we,” “us,” or “our” ).
By downloading, installing, accessing, or using the App, you confirm that you have read and agree to these Terms and acknowledge our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree to these Terms, please do not use the App and uninstall it from your device.
1. Eligibility
You may use the App only if you are legally permitted to do so under the laws applicable to you.
If you have not reached the age of legal majority in your place of residence, your parent or legal guardian must review and agree to these Terms before you use the App.
Parents and legal guardians should supervise a minor’s use of the App and help the minor understand the App’s features, permissions, advertising, and optional home screen functionality.
Nothing in these Terms is intended to impose contractual liability on a minor where doing so would not be permitted by applicable law.
2. About Flashlight Launcher
Flashlight Launcher provides lighting and utility features that may include:
• LED flashlight controls;
• SOS light patterns;
• color screen lighting;
• a camera magnifier;
• flashlight brightness adjustment on supported devices;
• clock and weather information;
• wallpapers;
• installed-app search;
• Bing-powered web search; and
• an optional Android home screen experience.
Available features may vary depending on your device, hardware capabilities, Android version, region, language, permissions, network connection, and App version.
We may add, modify, suspend, or discontinue features in accordance with these Terms and applicable law.
3. Optional Home Screen
Flashlight Launcher includes an optional Android home screen, also known as a launcher or Home app.
You are not required to select Flashlight Launcher as your default Home app to use the App’s available standalone lighting tools.
If you choose Flashlight Launcher as your default Home app, your device will display Flashlight Launcher’s separate home screen, including its own layout, dock, folders, widgets, shortcuts, and icon arrangement.
Flashlight Launcher does not add its home screen features to your previous launcher’s existing layout. Selecting Flashlight Launcher does not intentionally delete or overwrite your previous launcher’s saved layout or data.
You can change your default Home app at any time through the Android system Home app selector or your device settings. Menu names, settings paths, and available options may vary depending on your device manufacturer and Android version.
4. Wallpapers
Selecting Flashlight Launcher as your default Home app does not automatically replace your current system wallpaper.
If you choose to apply a wallpaper through the App, you authorize the App to change your device’s system wallpaper. Because wallpapers are managed at the system level, an applied wallpaper may remain in place after you switch to another launcher.
5. Flashlight and SOS Features
Flashlight features depend on your device’s camera flash hardware and system support. Flashlight brightness adjustment is available only on supported devices and Android versions.
The SOS feature produces a visual light pattern for general signaling purposes. It is not an emergency communications service and does not contact emergency responders, law enforcement, medical services, or any other person on your behalf.
Do not rely on the App as your only means of lighting, navigation, communication, or emergency assistance.
Extended use of the camera flash or screen light may increase battery consumption or cause your device to become warm. Use these features responsibly and follow your device manufacturer’s safety instructions.
Do not direct bright or flashing light toward another person’s eyes. Flashing light may affect people who are sensitive to flashing or strobing effects.
6. Camera Magnifier
The camera magnifier is provided as a general viewing aid.
It is not a medical device, diagnostic tool, vision treatment, or replacement for professional assistance or dedicated accessibility equipment.
Image quality and magnification depend on your device’s camera hardware, lighting conditions, and system capabilities.
7. Weather Information
Weather information is provided for general informational purposes only. It may be delayed, incomplete, unavailable, or inaccurate.
Do not rely exclusively on the App for emergency weather warnings or decisions involving personal safety, travel, property, health, or other important matters. Consult official weather authorities and emergency services when appropriate.
8. Search Services
The App may allow you to search for installed applications on your device and access web search results powered by Bing.
Web searches and search results are provided by third-party services and may be governed by their own terms and privacy policies.
We do not control or guarantee the availability, accuracy, completeness, safety, legality, or content of third-party search results. You are responsible for deciding whether to visit or rely on a third-party website or search result.
The inclusion of a third-party service does not mean that the third party sponsors, endorses, or is affiliated with STARKEY or Flashlight Launcher.
Bing is a trademark of the Microsoft group of companies.
9. Permissions and Privacy
Some features require access to device capabilities or information. The App will request applicable Android permissions when required.
You may decline or revoke permissions through your device settings. If you decline or revoke a permission, the related feature may be limited or unavailable.

10. Advertising and Third-Party Services
The App may display advertisements and use third-party services supporting functions such as search, weather, news, analytics, advertising, attribution, and crash reporting.
Third-party services may be governed by their own terms and privacy policies. We do not control third-party websites, advertisements, products, or services.
To the extent permitted by applicable law, STARKEY is not responsible for the independent acts, omissions, content, availability, or security practices of third-party services.
Your interactions or transactions with a third party are between you and the applicable third party.
11. License
Subject to your compliance with these Terms, STARKEY grants you a limited, personal, revocable, non-exclusive, non-transferable, and non-sublicensable license to install and use the App on devices that you own or control for personal, non-commercial purposes.
The App is licensed, not sold. STARKEY and its licensors retain all rights not expressly granted under these Terms.
12. Prohibited Conduct
You must not:
• copy, modify, distribute, sell, lease, sublicense, or commercially exploit the App except as permitted by applicable law;
• reverse engineer, decompile, disassemble, or attempt to derive the App’s source code, except where applicable law expressly permits it;
• bypass, disable, interfere with, or circumvent security or technical restrictions;
• use the App in violation of applicable laws or another person’s rights;
• introduce malicious code or interfere with the App, its services, or connected systems;
• use automated systems to access, overload, scrape, or disrupt the App;
• impersonate another person or misrepresent your relationship with another person or entity;
• use the App for fraudulent, abusive, harmful, or unlawful purposes; or
• assist another person in carrying out any prohibited activity.
13. Intellectual Property
The App, including its software, design, graphics, text, features, trademarks, and other content, is owned by or licensed to STARKEY and is protected by applicable intellectual property laws.
Third-party names, trademarks, services, and content remain the property of their respective owners. Their inclusion does not imply sponsorship, endorsement, or affiliation unless expressly stated.
No provision of these Terms transfers ownership of the App or any associated intellectual property rights to you.
14. Updates and Changes to the App
We may provide updates that modify, improve, repair, replace, add, or remove features.
Updates may be required for continued operation, security, compatibility, or legal compliance. Some features may stop working on unsupported devices or Android versions.
Where reasonably practicable, we will provide appropriate notice before making a material change that significantly affects how the App operates.
We do not guarantee that every feature will remain permanently available or work on every device.
15. Suspension and Termination
You may stop using the App at any time by uninstalling it.
If Flashlight Launcher is your default Home app, you should select another Home app through the Android system settings before or after uninstalling it.
We may suspend or terminate access to the App or related services when reasonably necessary to:
• protect users, third parties, or our systems;
• investigate suspected unlawful or abusive activity;
• comply with applicable laws or binding official requests;
• enforce these Terms; or
• discontinue the App or a related service.
Where reasonably practicable and legally permitted, we will provide notice of a material suspension or discontinuation.
Sections that by their nature should survive termination will remain effective, including provisions concerning intellectual property, responsibility, disclaimers, liability, and disputes.
16. Your Responsibility for Misuse
You are responsible for losses directly resulting from your intentional unlawful use of the App or your material violation of these Terms.
To the extent permitted by applicable law, if your intentional unlawful or unauthorized commercial use of the App directly causes a third party to bring a claim against STARKEY, you will be responsible for the reasonable and proportionate losses and legal costs directly arising from that claim.
This section does not require you to compensate STARKEY for:
• STARKEY’s own negligence, misconduct, or breach of these Terms;
• losses not reasonably caused by your conduct;
• losses that STARKEY could reasonably have avoided; or
• any amount for which making you responsible would be unlawful or unreasonable.
Nothing in this section limits any rights or protections available to you under applicable consumer law.
17. Disclaimer of Warranties
To the extent permitted by applicable law, the App is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis.
We do not promise that the App will:
• always be available, uninterrupted, secure, or error-free;
• work with every device, operating system, launcher, or hardware configuration;
• provide complete, current, or accurate weather, search, news, or other third-party information; or
• meet every individual requirement or expectation.
These disclaimers do not exclude any guarantee, warranty, right, or remedy that cannot lawfully be excluded or restricted.
18. Limitation of Liability
Nothing in these Terms excludes or restricts STARKEY’s liability for:
• death or personal injury caused by negligence;
• fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation;
• wilful misconduct; or
• any other liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or restricted.
Subject to the paragraph above and to the extent permitted by applicable law, STARKEY will not be liable for losses that:
• were not reasonably foreseeable when you agreed to these Terms;
• result from circumstances beyond our reasonable control;
• arise from your failure to follow reasonable instructions or device safety guidance;
• result from unauthorized modification or misuse of the App; or
• arise from a third-party service that operates independently from STARKEY.
To the extent permitted by applicable law, STARKEY will not be liable for indirect or consequential loss, loss of profit, loss of business, loss of opportunity, or business interruption resulting from personal, non-commercial use of the App.
This paragraph does not limit liability for a direct and reasonably foreseeable loss caused by STARKEY’s breach of these Terms or failure to exercise reasonable care and skill where such liability cannot lawfully be excluded.
Nothing in these Terms affects any mandatory consumer rights or remedies available to you under applicable law.
19. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms to reflect changes to the App, applicable laws, business practices, or third-party services.
The updated Terms will display a revised effective date.
Where required by law, or where a change materially affects your rights or obligations, we will provide reasonable notice through the App, the App’s store listing, our website, or another appropriate method.
Changes will not apply retroactively unless required by law or expressly agreed with you.
If you do not agree to the updated Terms, you should stop using and uninstall the App.
20. Governing Law and Jurisdiction
These Terms and any dispute or claim arising out of or relating to these Terms or the App are governed by the laws of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region, without regard to conflict-of-law principles.
The courts of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region will have non-exclusive jurisdiction over disputes arising out of or relating to these Terms or the App.
If you are a consumer, this section does not prevent you from bringing a claim before another court or tribunal where that right is provided by mandatory law. You also retain any mandatory consumer rights and protections available under the laws of your place of residence.
21. Severability
If any provision of these Terms is found to be unlawful, invalid, or unenforceable, that provision will be interpreted or limited to the minimum extent necessary to make it enforceable.
If that is not possible, the provision will be severed. The remaining provisions will continue in effect.
22. No Waiver
If we do not immediately enforce a provision of these Terms, this does not waive our right to enforce it later.
Any waiver by STARKEY must be expressly made in writing.
23. Entire Agreement
These Terms and the Privacy Policy constitute the agreement between you and STARKEY concerning your use of the App, except where additional terms are expressly presented for a particular feature or service.
Nothing in this section limits rights or obligations that cannot be excluded by agreement.
24. Google Play
If you download the App from Google Play, your use of Google Play is also governed by Google Play’s applicable terms and policies.
Google Play is a trademark of Google LLC. Google LLC does not sponsor or endorse Flashlight Launcher, and use of the Google Play name does not imply an affiliation with Google LLC.
