Trivia:

• The reason why this mod was changed to "Super Brawl 2 Remix" was to make it a similar name to Smash Remix, the fan-created mod of Super Smash Bros. 64.

• The roster was only going to include eight starters, until Patrick was confirmed to return as the ninth starter.

• Unlike the previous Surprise Fighters, Pikachu and Shantae were revealed on the Pichu's Fundamental Server on Discord before the public on YouTube.

• While having some of the returners from the Super Fall Brawl mod (Poncho, Kadariro, Arle Nadja, Ruby Rose, Pikachu and Shantae), only one last of the remaining veterans may have a chance to join the fight.

• Out of all the Surprise Fighters' showcases, Elmo's showcase has the most views with at least over 3.8K views as of now.

  • However, Ruby Rose's showcase surpassed Elmo's showcase around 2025 with at least over 3.5K views. But as of 2026, Elmo surpassed Ruby again until someone else passes over him.

• During the Top Secret Fighters' showcase, the codenames given for each fighter were:

  • Shadow: Life

  • Waki: Envy

  • Yang: Punch

  • Strong Bad: Message

  • Kat: Levitate

    • This would imply that there were texted codes and colored QR codes hidden in various videos for people to scan them to access the secret hidden trailers for each Top Secret Fighter before their showcases were done. However, they didn't get a lot of attention mainly due to the focus on the main videos, or they didn't see them out of spite.

• With Strong Bad in the game, he has The Cheat to help him assist in battle.

  • This makes him the only fighter to have an ally by his side.

• During the Surprise Fighters' showcases, starting from Pichu's to Pikachu and Shantae's, Bill Cipher reveals his hidden cameos in these various stages: Quintana Lane, Smosh Fighter Neighborhood, Hanazuki's Moon, Elmo's World, Green Hill Zone, and Neon Colosseum. Although hardly visible to see, close-ups of the cameos were revealed in Pikachu and Shantae's showcase.

  • Bill's cameo would later appear in Kat's stage, Hekseville.

• Hard to see, but the cloud resembling Discord's (My Little Pony) head can be seen in Final Destination.
