Flaris ("we," "us," or "our") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use our mobile application, Flaris (the "App"). The App is a Flutter-based AR makeup application that provides real-time facial detection for virtual makeup try-on, personalized recommendations, and other features. Please read this Privacy Policy carefully. If you do not agree with the terms of this Privacy Policy, please do not access the App.
We reserve the right to make changes to this Privacy Policy at any time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new Privacy Policy on this page. We will let you know via email and/or a prominent notice on our App, prior to the change becoming effective and update the "Last Updated" date at the top of this Privacy Policy.

We collect information that identifies, relates to, describes, references, is capable of being associated with, or could reasonably be linked, directly or indirectly, with a particular consumer or device ("Personal Information"). In particular, we have collected the following categories of Personal Information from consumers within the last twelve (12) months:
Identifiers: Such as email address, username, or similar identifiers provided during registration or authentication.
Personal Information Categories: Such as age group (e.g., Below 18, 18-25, 26-35, 36+), skin tone preferences (e.g., Light/Peachy Cream, Medium/Misty Morn, Tan/Warm Beige, Dark/Deep Beauty), and occasion preferences (e.g., Wedding, Party, Office).
Commercial Information: Records of products or services purchased, such as premium subscriptions.
Internet or Other Electronic Network Activity: Browsing history within the App, search history, and information on your interaction with the App.
Geolocation Data: If enabled, approximate location derived from IP address or device settings.
Sensory Data: Real-time facial landmarks and contours via camera access for AR features (processed locally and not stored).
Inferences Drawn from Other Personal Information: Profiles reflecting preferences for makeup styles (e.g., Natural Glow, Bold Look, Elegant Look).
We do not collect sensitive Personal Information such as racial or ethnic origin beyond user-provided skin tone preferences for recommendations. We may also collect non-personal information, such as aggregated usage data.
We use third-party services like Firebase for authentication and data storage, which may collect additional data such as IP address, device identifiers, and analytics information. For ads, we use Google AdMob, which may collect device identifiers and usage data for personalized advertising.
We collect Personal Information in the following ways:
Directly from You: When you create an account (via email/password, Google Sign-In, or anonymously), provide profile details (e.g., skin tone, age, occasions), or interact with features like saving favorite looks.
Automatically Through the App: Using technologies like cookies, tracking pixels, or analytics tools. For example, we collect device information (e.g., IP address, device type, OS) and usage data when you use the App. AR features require camera access to detect facial landmarks in real-time.
From Third Parties: Such as Google for authentication (Firebase Authentication) or advertising (AdMob). We may receive data from analytics providers or payment processors for subscriptions.
We may use the Personal Information we collect for one or more of the following purposes:
To provide and maintain our App, including AR makeup try-on, personalized recommendations, and premium features.
To improve our App, such as analyzing usage patterns to enhance recommendations or optimize performance.
To communicate with you, including sending updates, notifications, or responding to inquiries.
For advertising, including displaying ads via AdMob in the free version.
For legal compliance, such as fulfilling obligations under applicable laws or protecting against misuse.
To process payments and manage subscriptions through Google Play Billing.
We use Firebase services to handle authentication, store user profiles in Firestore, and analyze app performance. AdMob is used to serve ads, which may involve data for targeted advertising.
We may share your Personal Information with third parties in the following circumstances:
With Service Providers: Such as Firebase (for auth and storage), Google ML Kit (for facial detection), and AdMob (for ads). These providers process data on our behalf and are bound by confidentiality.
With Advertising Partners: AdMob may share device identifiers and usage data with Google for personalized ads. For more details, see Google's Privacy Policy at https://policies.google.com/privacy.
For Legal Reasons: To comply with laws, regulations, legal processes, or enforceable governmental requests.
In Business Transactions: If we are involved in a merger, acquisition, or asset sale, your information may be transferred.
We do not sell your Personal Information. International data transfers may occur (e.g., to Google servers in the US), and we ensure appropriate safeguards are in place.
Depending on your location, you may have the following rights regarding your Personal Information:
Right to access: Request a copy of your Personal Information.
Right to rectification: Correct inaccurate data.
Right to deletion: Request deletion of your Personal Information (subject to legal obligations).
Right to opt-out: Opt out of targeted advertising or data sharing (e.g., via AdMob settings).
Right to restrict processing: Limit how we use your data in certain cases.
Right to data portability: Receive your data in a structured format.
To exercise these rights, contact us at the email below. We will respond within 30 days (or as required by law, e.g., 45 days under CCPA). You can opt out of Google Analytics for Firebase via app settings or at https://support.google.com/firebase/answer/9032601. For AdMob, adjust ad personalization in your device settings.
We do not knowingly collect data from children under 13 without parental consent. If you believe we have such data, contact us for removal.
We retain your Personal Information for as long as necessary to provide the App's services, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce agreements. For example, profile data is kept while your account is active. Inactive accounts may be deleted after 12 months. Firebase and AdMob retain data according to their policies.
We use administrative, technical, and physical security measures to protect your Personal Information, such as encryption for data in transit and secure storage via Firebase. However, no method is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
