This privacy policy applies to the Flappy Canary mobile application (hereinafter referred to as "Application") created by beton (hereinafter referred to as "Service Provider").
The Application collects information to provide a global leaderboard and multiplayer features. This information includes:
User-Chosen Display Name: A name you choose for the leaderboard.
Unique User ID (UUID): An automatically generated, anonymous ID.
Gameplay Data: Highscores, Canary Coins, and match results.
If you are from the European Economic Area (EEA), our legal basis for collecting and using the personal information described above depends on the personal information concerned and the specific context in which we collect it:
Performance of a Contract: To provide the multiplayer and leaderboard services you use.
Legitimate Interests: To improve the game and ensure fair play (preventing cheating).
Under the GDPR, you have the following rights:
Right to Access: You can ask for a copy of your stored data.
Right to Rectification: You can change your display name in the app.
Right to Erasure (Deletion): You can delete your data via the "Delete Data" button in the app settings or by emailing flappycanarygame@gmail.com.
Right to Data Portability: You can request a copy of your data in a machine-readable format.
We use Google Firebase for database services. Your data is stored securely on Google servers. Please note that Google may process data in countries outside the EEA (e.g., USA). Google uses Standard Contractual Clauses (SCCs) to ensure a level of data protection equivalent to the EU.
We retain your data for as long as you use the application. If you do not use the application for more than 24 months, we reserve the right to delete inactive accounts. You can trigger deletion yourself at any time using the in-app delete button.
We do not knowingly collect data from children under the age of 13 (or 16 in some EU countries). If you are a parent and believe we have collected data from your child, please contact us.
We use industry-standard security measures provided by Google Firebase to protect your data from unauthorized access or disclosure.
