Research Interests

Research in 'green energy' technologies has taken centre-stage and under this ambit, entire hydrogen based economies have been envisaged. In spite of the tremendous strides made in hydrogen storage materials over decades, an 'ideal' material has proved elusive. Solid state storage via chemisorption in hydrides and physisorption on porous high surface materials has proved attractive options in conjunction with the use of hybrids. My work aims at developing functionalized Carbon based nanohybrids which are inexpensive and are amenable to scaled-up production. The objectives of the current investigation is to transcend all traditional approaches and to devise a novel strategy for hydrogen storage
