Rebecca is a board-certified Women’s Health Nurse Practitioner and third-generation Flagstaff resident. She earned her Master of Science in Nursing, specializing in Women’s Health, from Georgetown University in 2022, and holds bachelor’s degrees in Nursing and Psychology from Northern Arizona University.
With more than a decade of hospital experience, Rebecca is committed to providing compassionate, evidence-based care to women across the lifespan. She values shared decision-making and takes a holistic, individualized approach to helping patients achieve their health goals.
Passionate about patient education, Rebecca enjoys empowering individuals with the knowledge they need to make informed healthcare decisions. Outside of work, she enjoys spending time with her family, exploring the outdoors, and reading a good book.
Emilie Bowers is a board-certified Family Nurse Practitioner and Adult-Gerontology Acute Care Nurse Practitioner with over 18 years of experience in healthcare. She currently practices in endocrinology, where she specializes in diabetes, osteoporosis, thyroid disease, and hormone health.
Tara is a Board-Certified Physician Assistant who grew up calling Flagstaff home. While schooling and work took her across the country, she has since returned with full commitment and excitement to give back to the community that raised her. She has experience in reproductive and women’s health as a Physician Assistant and is the newest member at Flagstaff OBGYN. She also worked in clinical research prior to PA school focusing on cancer and women’s health studies.
Megan Engbring is a Family Nurse Practitioner specializing in cardiovascular health & sustainable weight loss. She has been serving the Flagstaff community for over 20 years and is passionate about helping people live their most vibrant, healthy lives. She founded Flagstaff Optimal Health & Weight Management in 2024 to help patients achieve long-term success with GLP1 medications by providing individualized guidance on nutrition, lifestyle, muscle health, and weaning off of medication. However, she also loves working with patients who simply use her lifestyle & nutrition programs to create health without the support of medication.
Gina is the non-medical committee member who brings extensive experience in serving her community to this event. She has been a National Officer for Sigma Sigma Sigma sorority and has served on the Sechrist Elementary and Mount Elden Middle School Parent Teacher Organizations, Flagstaff High School Site Council, and on the board for the Flagstaff Youth Hockey Association and Flagstaff Avalanche Boosters.
Gina is originally from outside of Philadelphia, PA, but has called Flagstaff home for almost 2 decades. She is a passionate educator who is currently an Associate Teaching Professor in the Department of Mathematics & Statistics at Northern Arizona University. Outside of work she loves lifting heavy, taking hikes, going to the movies, catching up with friends, and supporting her 3 kids and partner in all they do. She is excited to join this group of amazing women to host this inaugural (hopefully becoming annual) event.
