Privacy Policy
Last updated: October 3, 2026
This policy explains which data is used by the Flags Coloring app ("the app"), made by an independent developer, and how you can manage it. By using the app, you agree to the practices described below.
Data I collect
I do not collect, store or sell any personal data on my own servers. The app does not ask for your email address or an app-specific account. It lets you choose a player name and an avatar (your profile), both optional: if you don't choose, a random name is picked.
Some data is processed by third-party services provided by Google (see section 3), only to run the app, show ads, measure usage and fix errors.
Data kept on your device
Your progress is saved only on your phone: profile (player name and avatar), colored flags and stars, coins, hints, quiz scores and right answers, daily challenge best score, daily quests, language and settings (sound, music, vibration, notifications).
This data does not leave your device, except the scores you send to the leaderboards, together with your player name and avatar (see section 4). You can delete everything at any time from Settings > Clear data in the app, or by uninstalling the app.
Third-party services
The app uses the following services, which may collect some information under their own privacy policies:
- Google Play Services: running the app.
https://policies.google.com/privacy
- Google AdMob: showing ads.
https://policies.google.com/technologies/ads
- Google Analytics for Firebase: anonymous usage measurement (screens visited, games played).
https://firebase.google.com/support/privacy
- Firebase Crashlytics: crash reports to fix errors.
https://firebase.google.com/support/privacy
- Google Play Games Services: optional sign-in and leaderboards.
https://policies.google.com/privacy
These services may process, among others: IP address, device model and operating system, advertising ID, technical app identifiers, usage information and error logs.
Leaderboards (Google Play Games)
The app offers two leaderboards: "Daily Challenge" (flags completed in the daily challenge) and "Flag Master" (coloring stars and right answers in the quizzes).
- Signing in to Google Play Games is optional. Without it, you can play normally, but you do not appear in the leaderboards.
- If you are signed in, your scores are sent to Google Play Games and are visible to other players, together with the player name and avatar of your in-app profile (or, for a score sent before you chose them, your Play Games nickname and picture). Do not use personal information (full name, address...) as your player name: it is public.
- This data is managed by Google, not by me. You can manage your profile, its visibility and your game data from the Google Play Games app or your Google Account settings.
Advertising and your consent
The app shows ads through Google AdMob. In the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom and Switzerland, Google's consent form is shown to you: you choose whether ads may be personalized using your data. To change your choice, clear the app's storage in your Android settings (Apps > Flags Coloring > Storage > Clear storage): the form will be shown again the next time you open the app.
You can also reset or delete your advertising ID in your phone's Android settings (Google > Ads).
Rewarded ads (hints, lives, coins) are only watched when you choose to.
Notifications
If you allow it, the app may show a local reminder when you have not played for a week (at most once a week). This reminder is created on your phone: no data is sent for it. You can turn it off at any time in the app's Settings > Notifications or in your Android settings.
Update check
When it starts, the app reads a small public file on GitHub Pages to know whether a new version is available. No personal data is sent; as with any website, the host (GitHub) may see the connection's IP address.

Children
The app is not directed to children under 13. I do not knowingly collect personal data from children under 13. If you are a parent and believe your child has provided information, please contact me and I will take the necessary steps to delete it.
Security
Your progress data stays on your device. Third-party services use encrypted connections. However, no method of transmission or storage is 100% secure.
Your rights
Depending on your country (for example under the GDPR in the European Union), you have rights of access, rectification, erasure and objection. Since I do not keep any personal data on my servers, most of these requests concern the Google services listed above, which you can exercise with Google. For any question, contact me.
Changes
This policy may be updated. The new version will be published on this page with its update date.
