Who can march with the Flaggots? Anyone who is both 18 years of age and no longer marching with a high school colorguard is eligible to march with the Flaggots. There is no upper age limit. As of June 2021 we are not currently taking members who have never participated in a colorguard before. Please reach out to us via email if you have any questions at flaggotsdever@gmail.com. 

Where do the Flaggots perform? We perform in Pride and LGBTQ+ Community events around the state of Colorado.

What is colorguard? You might recognize colorguard from your local high school or college marching band. Colorguard is part of the greater pageantry arts community that includes marching band, drum corps, winterguard, and ROTC. We use a unique combination of dance, flag, rifle, and sabre choreography set to music to create colorful and energetic performance experiences. 

Where does your name come from? The original FLAGGOTS of New York, Philadelphia, and New Jersey took a hate-filled word, dressed it up, and put it on parade; thus taking the power back from those who chose to bully. Our mothership guard graciously allows us to use their name here at the Denver chapter.
