The Summer School will be held in Ames, Iowa. The main room will be Carver Hall (see campus map and belowroom 305 (not the one above). 

You can use a CyRide bus #25 (gold) from the apartments to campus if you don't want to walk. The bus is free.

 Meals

There is no breakfast provided, stop in the Hub (blue arrow) for something if you need, it should be open.

Meal will be in "Seasons Marketplace", see https://www.dining.iastate.edu/hours-menus for menu and operating hours. It should be in MWL Commons on the map above (red circle). All you can eat place with a range of options to choose from. Expectation is we will have lunch there and dinner on M,T,R. You are on your own for breakfasts and dinner on Wednesday and Friday.

Looking at the map, it may be easiest to take CyRide Bus #23 that stops in front of Carver Hall and MWL, runs for free every 10 minutes.

Parking

Parking at the apartments needs a parking permit. The permit is also good for General Staff Parking. See parking map of the university, yellow lots are OK with the permit.  Avoid the red ones unless after 5:30pm or weekend. If you need  the parking permit and don't have one, ask Bernard.

Air Travel

There is no airport in Ames. The nearest airport is in Des Moines, IA (DSM). It is serviced by major airlines but limited direct flights.

Accommodation

Accommodation will be in SUV apartments in Ames, IA, see https://www.housing.iastate.edu/guest-housing/ It will be booked and paid directly by the math department.  Google Maps Link.

CHECK-IN: Please come to SUV Community Center to check into your apartment. The office is located at 2119 Edenburn Drive. The hours are 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM Monday through Friday. If you are arriving after hours, you must call the Community Adviser (CA) on call at 515-290-2460 who will assist you with the check-in process as well as get you keys to your assignment.
