Miss Colanse is a dedicated librarian who puts her clients first and lives by the principle, “If you can do it now, don’t wait for tomorrow.” She encourages taking immediate action toward your goals, emphasizing that the future is uncertain, so it’s best to start today. She recognizes the vital role libraries play in education, as librarians and library resources help people access the information they need.
Miss Colanse completed her Masters degree in Library and Information Science at Lourdes College in Cagayan de Oro, Philippines, which prepared her for librarian roles at both secondary and tertiary levels in the Philippines and at UAE schools. She is currently pursuing a Doctor of Philosophy in Educational Administration and Supervision at PHINMA Cagayan de Oro College, where she is working on her Dissertation 2.
With eight years of experience as a Librarian in the Philippines and Abu Dhabi, Miss Colanse has also served as a Research Advisor, guiding Office Administration students to win a Best Research Award in 2022. She played a key part in helping City College of El Salvador gain approval to operate and graduate its first students in 2022. Librarians like Miss Colanse are expected to fulfill their job responsibilities, pursue professional growth, and stay updated on trends and knowledge in the field.
Outside of work, Miss Colanse enjoys going to the beach, reading, listening to Spotify, practicing muay thai and boxing, vlogging, and prioritizing fitness.
