THE PANELS
At our university, Industrial Advisory Panels (IAPs) serve as a vital link between academic programs and the evolving needs of industry. Comprising seasoned professionals from diverse sectors, these panels provide strategic input to ensure our curricula remain current, practical, and aligned with market demands. IAPs play a key role in enhancing the quality and relevance of our programs. They support skills development, guide technology transfer, and help shape graduates who are well-prepared for success in dynamic professional environments. Through their involvement, students also gain access to valuable networking opportunities, connecting classroom learning with real-world application. By maintaining a forward-thinking and industry-responsive approach, our IAPs help ensure that education at our university remains innovative, impactful, and future-ready.
In the context of the Engineering Technology Accreditation Council (ETAC), an External Examiner is a distinguished academic professional appointed by the Institution of Higher Learning (IHL) to evaluate the overall quality and effectiveness of an academic program. Possessing high academic standing in a relevant field, the External Examiner brings an objective, independent perspective to the program review process. Their primary responsibility is to assess whether the program meets the rigorous standards set by ETAC, ensuring the academic integrity, relevance, and continuous improvement of the curriculum. Through this external validation, the role of the External Examiner reinforces the institution's commitment to delivering high-quality, industry-aligned engineering technology education.
