If you want deep bass and a secure, waterproof experience specifically for gaming or intense aquatic sessions, choose FJX Bone Conduction Headphones; if you need a lightweight, versatile open-ear solution for general outdoor running and gym workouts without the bulk of internal storage, choose Sport Headphones Swimming Headphones Open-Ear.
• FJX Bone Conduction Headphones: The standout strength is its massive 32GB built-in storage allowing standalone MP3 playback underwater, paired with an IP68 rating for full submersion; the trade-off is a shorter battery life of only 4 hours compared to typical wireless standards. This pick is for swimmers and gamers who need zero latency and total independence from their phone while in the water.
• Sport Headphones Swimming Headphones Open-Ear: Its biggest advantage is the robust Bluetooth 5.0 connectivity and a slightly longer charge time of just one hour, offering a classic open-ear feel with dynamic drivers for better sound quality on land; however, it lacks internal memory and relies entirely on a paired device, making it less ideal for deep-water audio without a tethered player. This pick is for runners and cyclists who prioritize long-range connection stability and a simple, no-fuss design for dry or splash-only environments.
The FJX model is engineered for a very specific type of athlete: someone who treats the pool as seriously as the track. The defining feature here is the combination of bone conduction technology and a built-in 32 GB mass storage card. This isn't just about listening to music; it is about creating a self-contained audio system that works even when Bluetooth signals fail completely. Water is notorious for blocking wireless transmission, which means any standard Bluetooth headset will cut out the moment you go under the surface. With the FJX, you can load your favorite tracks directly onto the device via USB and switch to MP3 mode, ensuring your audio continues uninterrupted whether you are snorkeling, diving, or doing laps. This makes it an exceptional choice for anyone looking for the best deep bass headphones for gaming or training where immersion matters, because the vibrations travel through your cheekbones rather than relying on air pressure changes in the ear canal.
Comfort is another major selling point for this unit, largely due to the use of ultra-light titanium. Weighing in at a mere 29 grams, the design minimizes strain on the neck and ears during extended sessions. The ergonomic shape fits snugly behind the ears, which is critical for high-intensity activities like swimming or sprinting where head movement is rapid. Unlike traditional over-ear designs that might slip or create pressure points, this open-ear style keeps your ears bare, allowing you to hear traffic, other swimmers, or environmental hazards. If you are into with microphone true wireless earbuds for gaming scenarios that require situational awareness, this design philosophy aligns perfectly with safety needs. You stay alert to your surroundings while still enjoying a premium audio experience directly transmitted to your inner ear.

However, this product is not for everyone. The battery life averages around 4 hours, which is sufficient for most workouts but falls short for marathon events or all-day gaming marathons without recharging. Additionally, the requirement to use earplugs for optimal underwater listening means you must manage two pieces of equipment simultaneously. If you prefer a "set it and forget it" experience where the device simply pairs with your phone and stays connected indefinitely without managing local files, the complexity of switching between Bluetooth and MP3 modes might be a hurdle. But for the serious swimmer or the gamer who refuses to let water kill their playlist, the trade-offs are negligible.
In contrast, the Sport Headphones model is designed for the active individual who spends more time on land than underwater. While it carries the "swimming" label, its construction focuses on versatility across wind, rain, and sweat. The open-ear hook design is secured by a flexible wraparound neckband, ensuring the device stays firmly in place during intense cardio or cycling. The use of ABS, rubber, and silicone materials provides a durable shell that resists impact and moisture, making it a reliable companion for outdoor sports where weather conditions can change rapidly. If you are looking for a pair of ipx7 waterproof bluetooth headset for gaming or general fitness that prioritizes ease of use over specialized underwater capabilities, this model hits the mark. It delivers sound through 13-millimeter dynamic drivers, which typically offer a richer, fuller sound profile than bone conduction, especially for music genres that rely heavily on low-end frequencies.
The connectivity on this unit is streamlined for simplicity. It utilizes Bluetooth 5.0 with a stated range of 33 feet, providing a stable link to your smartphone or tablet without the need for complex setup procedures. There is no internal memory to manage, so you don't have to worry about transferring files or switching modes. You simply turn it on, pair it, and go. This makes it an ideal choice for casual athletes who want their music playing immediately without the friction of configuring a secondary MP3 player. The push-button controls are straightforward, allowing you to manage volume and tracks without fumbling with touch-sensitive surfaces that might be slippery from sweat or water.
That said, the lack of internal storage is a significant limitation for aquatic use. Without a way to store music locally, you cannot take this device fully underwater for swimming unless you have a waterproof case holding your phone nearby, which defeats the purpose of a truly wireless experience. Furthermore, the battery charges quickly in just one hour, but the usage duration is not explicitly detailed in the same depth as the FJX, suggesting it may be optimized for shorter, high-intensity bursts rather than endurance. If you are a runner who hates the feeling of blocked ears but doesn't plan to dive beneath the surface, this open-ear hook design offers the perfect balance of security and comfort.

After weighing the specs and real-world applications, I would personally buy the FJX Bone Conduction Headphones. The inclusion of 32GB of internal storage transforms this from a simple accessory into a complete audio station, solving the fundamental problem of Bluetooth failure underwater. For anyone interested in for gaming scenarios where immersion and reliability are paramount, having a device that doesn't depend on a phone connection is a game-changer. The bone conduction technology ensures you stay safe and aware, while the titanium build guarantees comfort during long sessions. While the Sport Headphones option is excellent for general land-based exercise, the FJX's ability to function independently in the water gives it a decisive edge for the ultimate active lifestyle.
Yes, both models support gaming, but the FJX is superior for underwater or distraction-free gaming due to its 32GB internal memory and lack of reliance on phone connectivity, which prevents lag or disconnection issues.
The FJX features an IP68 rating, meaning it is fully waterproof and dust-proof, suitable for swimming and submersion. The Sport Headphones model is water-resistant and handles wind, rain, and splashes well but lacks the certified submersion protection for deep diving.
For the FJX, yes, you must transfer songs to the 32GB memory via USB if you plan to use them underwater in MP3 mode. The Sport Headphones rely entirely on Bluetooth streaming from your paired device, requiring no manual file transfers.
The FJX offers an average of 4 hours of playback, while the Sport Headphones charge much faster in 1 hour. Exact usage duration for the Sport model is not specified beyond the charge time, but the FJX provides a known 4-hour window for continuous use.
