Helpful information to know when using our machine:
Insert coins before inserting dollar bills
If the coins go through to the return, try making a selection...someone nice may have put money in the machine for you already.
When inserting coins, pause between inserting each coin--the machine counts the coins by the sound each one makes, so give it a second to hear and register one coin before inserting another coin.
Make sure your dollar bill's corners are straight before trying to feed it into the machine. If the bill has a rip in it, don't try and feed it into the machine, it can get stuck. Best to trade it out for four quarters.
When it gets cold outside the rubber in the dollar bill acceptor gets harder and has a harder time gripping the bills. It will work, but it can be a hassle: This is a good time to use quarters, dimes, nickels, and dollar coins.
50¢ pieces won't work in our machine, but Sacagawea and Susan B. Anthony dollars do.
