Fix My Skin provides educational skincare information, personalised skincare routines, nutrition guidance, recipes, skin and food scanning tools, and personal progress-tracking features.
This Privacy Policy explains what information Fix My Skin may collect, how that information is used, when information may be processed by third-party service providers, how Face Scan data is handled, and what choices users have regarding their information.
When you create an account, Fix My Skin may collect information such as:

Fix My Skin does not provide medical diagnoses. Information and recommendations presented by the app, including AI-generated information, are provided for educational and personal tracking purposes only and are not a substitute for advice, diagnosis or treatment from a doctor, dermatologist or other qualified healthcare professional.
Fix My Skin may collect information that you voluntarily enter into the app, including:

Check-ins
Preferences
Progress records
Notes
Quiz answers
Other information that you choose to provide
This information may be associated with your account when necessary to provide personalised features or progress tracking.
Face Scan is an optional feature.
If you choose to use Face Scan, you may take or upload a photograph of your face.
The image may contain visible facial and skin characteristics.
Fix My Skin does not use Face Scan for:
Facial recognition
Identity verification
Biometric identification
Authentication
Advertising
Cross-app tracking
Building advertising profiles
The photograph is used only to provide the Face Scan feature requested by the user.
The face photograph is analysed to identify or estimate visible skin characteristics that may include:
Visible redness
Visible breakouts or blemishes
Estimated breakout count
Estimated inflammation level
Visible pimple or blemish types
Visible redness zones
General skin-analysis observations
General skincare recommendations
Face Scan results are AI-generated estimates and are intended only for personal skin tracking and educational purposes.
They are not medical diagnoses.
No face photograph is sent for AI analysis until the user affirmatively agrees to the Face Scan consent notice.
A user who does not agree may leave the Face Scan feature without submitting a photograph.
When you use Face Scan, the photograph is temporarily held in memory while the request is processed.
The photograph is transmitted to OpenAI, a third-party artificial intelligence service provider, so that OpenAI’s API can generate the requested skin analysis.
Fix My Skin uses OpenAI only to process the image and generate the requested analysis.
Fix My Skin does not store or retain the original face photograph after the Face Scan analysis is generated.
The original face image is not saved to Fix My Skin’s:
Database
File storage
Progress Tracker
User account records
Permanent application storage
Fix My Skin does not intentionally log the face image, its base64 representation or the full image request body.
The original image is used transiently to provide the requested Face Scan analysis.
If you choose to save your Face Scan result, Fix My Skin may save only information derived from the analysis, such as:
Date of analysis
Estimated inflammation score
Estimated breakout count
Visible skin observations
Analysis summary
General recommendations
Other derived Face Scan result information
The fact that the result originated from Face Scan
The original photograph itself is not saved by Fix My Skin.
Face Scan photographs are transmitted to OpenAI through the OpenAI API for processing.
OpenAI states that data submitted through its API is not used to train or improve OpenAI models by default unless the API customer explicitly opts in to data sharing.
OpenAI may retain API inputs and outputs for up to 30 days for purposes such as abuse monitoring, unless different retention controls apply to the relevant OpenAI account, project or endpoint, or retention is required by law.
Fix My Skin does not control OpenAI’s independent infrastructure or legally required retention practices.
You may voluntarily take or upload photographs of food when using the Food Scanner.
Food images may be processed by automated or artificial-intelligence systems to identify food items and generate information such as:
Estimated nutritional information
Estimated glycaemic information
Skin-related food classifications
Ingredient or dietary observations
General nutrition or skin-related guidance
Food Scanner results are estimates and may be incomplete or inaccurate.
They are not medical or nutritional diagnoses.
Only upload photographs that you have permission to use.

AI-generated results may be incomplete, inaccurate or inappropriate for an individual user’s medical situation.
AI-generated information should not be treated as a diagnosis, prescription or substitute for professional medical advice.
Where third-party AI providers are required to provide a requested feature, relevant information may be transmitted to those providers only as necessary to perform that feature.
Fix My Skin may use third-party providers to support functions including:
App hosting
Authentication
Database infrastructure
Email-related services
Artificial-intelligence processing
Technical infrastructure

Reliability and error prevention
These providers may process information when necessary to provide their services to Fix My Skin.
For Face Scan specifically, the user’s face photograph is transmitted to OpenAI for AI processing as explained in Section 2.
Fix My Skin does not sell users’ personal information.
Fix My Skin does not use email addresses, health-related information, Face Scan photographs, user content or user identifiers to track users across other companies’ apps or websites for advertising purposes.
Certain information may be used to personalise the experience within Fix My Skin.
For example, information about skin type, skin concerns, preferences, nutrition, progress or Face Scan results may be used to tailor:

Product suggestions
Educational information
Nutrition content

Personalisation occurs for the purpose of providing the app’s functionality and is not used for third-party advertising tracking.
Fix My Skin may contain links to products offered by third-party retailers, including affiliate links.
Fix My Skin may receive a commission when a user makes a purchase after opening an affiliate link.
When you open a third-party retailer link, you leave Fix My Skin.
Information collected by that retailer is governed by the retailer’s own terms and privacy policy.
Fix My Skin does not receive your payment-card number or banking information from external retailers.
Fix My Skin uses reasonable technical and organisational measures designed to protect information from unauthorised access, loss, alteration or misuse.
No online service or storage system can guarantee absolute security.
Account information, preferences, saved analysis results, progress information and other information you choose to save may be retained for as long as reasonably necessary to:

Maintain your account
Provide saved progress features
Meet legal obligations
Resolve disputes
Prevent fraud or abuse
Protect the security of the service
As described in Section 2, original Face Scan photographs are not retained in Fix My Skin’s permanent storage after the analysis is generated.
Third-party providers may apply their own retention periods to information processed through their services.
You may request deletion of your account and associated personal information through the app, where that option is available, or by contacting:

When an account-deletion request is processed, information associated with the account will be deleted where reasonably possible and where retention is not required for legal, fraud-prevention, security or record-keeping purposes.
Because Fix My Skin does not retain original Face Scan photographs after analysis, there is normally no stored original Face Scan image within Fix My Skin’s systems to delete.
Saved Face Scan analysis results and other derived account information may be deleted as part of deletion of the associated account or data.
You may choose not to provide optional information such as:
Skin information
Lifestyle information
Nutrition preferences
Photos
Face Scan data
Progress information
Other optional profile information
Some features may not function without the information required to provide them.
You may also choose not to use Face Scan or Food Scanner.
You may request access to, correction of or deletion of your personal information by contacting the email address listed in this Privacy Policy.
Fix My Skin does not use Face Scan data for advertising.
Fix My Skin does not use health information for cross-app or cross-website advertising tracking.
Fix My Skin does not use Face Scan photographs to create advertising profiles.
Fix My Skin does not sell face data or health-related information to advertisers or data brokers.
Users who are minors should use Fix My Skin with the knowledge and permission of a parent or legal guardian where required by applicable law.
Fix My Skin does not knowingly collect personal information from children where parental consent is legally required and that required consent has not been provided.
If a parent or legal guardian believes that a child’s information has been collected improperly, they may contact Fix My Skin using the contact information below.
Information may be processed or stored in countries other than the country in which the user lives.
Where applicable, reasonable measures will be used to protect personal information in accordance with applicable privacy and data-protection requirements.
Third-party service providers may also process information in jurisdictions where they operate.
Fix My Skin provides educational skincare and wellness information.
The app is not a medical device and does not diagnose, treat, cure or prevent any disease or medical condition.
Face Scan scores, skin classifications, recommendations, nutrition information and other app-generated results are estimates intended for educational and personal tracking purposes.
Users should consult a doctor, dermatologist or other qualified healthcare professional regarding medical concerns, symptoms, diagnosis or treatment.
