A French-Italian Workshop on Nonlinear Analysis:
Theory, Methods and Applications
The international workshop A French-Italian Workshop on Nonlinear Analysis: Theory, Methods and Applications will be held at the University of Messina on March 31, 2026. The event aims to strengthen the collaboration between French and Italian mathematicians, focusing on recent advances in nonlinear analysis and its applications. Particular attention will be given to elliptic partial differential equations, variational-hemivariational inequalities, and the qualitative properties of solutions, including existence, uniqueness and multiplicity results. Furthermore, applications to mechanics, physics, and engineering will be explored. The program will include plenary lectures delivered by leading scholars and short communications by young researchers, fostering scientific exchange and new collaborations. The workshop was made possible thanks to the success of Dr. Bruno Vassallo, Ph.D. student from the Doctoral Program in Mathematics at the University of Messina, in consortium with the Universities of Catania and Palermo, who was awarded the Cassini Project 2025/26.
