What is the LAPPD? LAPPD - Los Angeles Port Police Department. The LAPPD is the entry level police department for the FiveLAPD community. This department was built to allow new members to come in and check us out. While there are some introductory rules you need to remember (we will discuss more below).
How does this work? The LAPPD was built to house new players temporarily. We have designed the rank structure to promote you automatically after you complete so many reports/citations/arrest reports. However, we also recognize that many players are just casual players and may come and go once in a while. So that is why we have the automated ranking in place, to allow that player to still work their way up and get different police cars to patrol in!
How do I get started? The LAPPD works simply like this: Join the department via discord (when you join our discord you should have the LAPPD role). Join the game server (fly in) and get your uniform/loadout/and vehicle. Go on duty via the F11 menu (vMenu). Let the LAPPD Chief know (in game or in discord chat) that you are here and need your call sign. should only take a minute or so. *Due to FivePD's design, after you get your call sign, you will need to quickly fly out (leave the server) and come back in. This will set your new call sign and rank (Police Officer Grade 1) in CAD. When you come back into the city, use F11 to Go on duty, get your load-out, and cruiser. Then simply turn on the police radio F6 key, enter channel 11. and start patrolling.
How to get my call sign/badge number? The Chief of LAPPD and members of the staff team are the only ones that can assign you a call sign. This is done in game and requires you to either reach out to the Chief in game or in the 𝗟𝗔𝗣𝗣𝗗︱𝗗𝗲𝗽𝘁_𝗖𝗵𝗮𝘁
What uniform do I wear? To get your uniform, first you must have an MP ped saved, then use the command /EUP. This brings up two uniforms that you are authorized to wear. -Class A (long sleeve and tie) -Class B (Short sleeve for patrolling) -Select one and it'll spawn automatically!
How do I get hired at one of the Premier Police Agencies? FiveLAPD has several premier departments for players to join! Los Angeles Police Department is a premier department and largest of the server. Los Angeles Sheriff's Department is another premier department and current covers the city of Los Angeles. *Future plans as we grow, to spread the LASD north into norther Los Angeles County California Highway Patrol is the "state-wide" premier agency within our server. *CHP is still on standby to open and is not available just yet To get hired, we require LAPPD officers to be in game for 3 days and earn the rank Police Officer grade II (P.O.II) *This is very simple and limits us from having to deal with randoms joining, taking up space and resources, then ghosting. When you get to this point. Reach out to the Chief of Police, he will most likely already have contacted you to discuss this. You will meet with Recruiting Representatives from each agency and they will tell you about their perspective department and what it offers. Then after you have spoken to all RRO's, you will make a decision and get hired.

We call the state California, not San Andreas.

FiveLAPD is a "serious role-play" server. Therefore, we do enforce "new life rules" and other realistic actions that keep role play going smooth. -Speeding is not acceptable. -In city speed limit is: 25 -Highway speed limit is: 55 -Expressway speed limit is: 85
We treat all traffic lights (When they are red) as 4 way stops. This means you come to a stop, observe the intersection, and then proceed through. Making sure not to hit other on coming traffic (AI or players).
You must have your mic on at all times and your radio on when you are on duty or outside of the LAPPD HQ. The radio can get busy, so be mindful of your traffic. LAPPD officers do NOT have jurisdiction outside the city of Los Angeles. No pursuits or calls for service will be handled
by LAPPD outside of the city limits.
