From Christina:  As a teacher, I had to work hard to understand every child under my tutelage and perform academic diagnostics to determine how to problem-solve learning issues and barriers to allow access to learning and success.  Now that I'm working in automotive, with as complicated as vehicles are today, I'm seeing nearly the exact same type of process needing to happen -- and I'll be honest, it has been as equally frustrating as vindicating when we meet & work with customers who have angrily vented to Neil and his diagnostic process, thinking that he's unnecessarily spending their money to solve their vehicle's problem(s), but then we meet those customers who understand and appreciate Neil's process & help.  And today, while performing some research of my own, I have discovered that colleges and schools are teaching automotive techs STRATEGY-BASED DIAGNOSTICS -- following the exact same diagnostic process that Neil has been performing for YEARS (this is where the vindicating feeling happens)!  The flowchart to the left has been taken from a Power Point created by WNY Teacher Center, used to instruct all current and future automotive technicians (mechanics, whatever you want to call them!), and I found this "repair shop" in Georgia with the same verbage:  www.teamryanautomotive.com/about-us/strategy-diagnostics   Want to see it in action / learn more?  Stop by and experience the difference from Neil who lives & breathes being the "Answer Guy" -- you are paying him to be right with no room for wrong!
