How to contact GLA

Given the scale of development proposed, which meets the criteria set out in the Mayor of London Order, the application was referred to the Mayor on 15 May. (GLA ref D&P/4129)

Two members of the London Assembly have already made objections to this planning application. If you would like to encourage more scrutiny from the GLA about this proposal and what it means for Crystal Palace, you can contact any member direct or contact the Mayor's office via their online portal here:

https://www.london.gov.uk/contact-us-form

Add your contact details, at the I WANT TO box select ASK A QUESTION. Where it asks "What is your message regarding? " write Queens Hotel Overdevelopment in Crystal Palace to keep our enquiries consistent.

Please try and keep the comment brief – this is not the place for long objections – but refer to the GLA London Plan which says that any "new hotel development should be focused in town centres and opportunity and intensification area".

Make the point in short and simple terms that these expansion plans are too big for the area. This is something the Mayor has some authority over. Although this is technically not a 'new' hotel, include the fact that this already large hotel is going to increase in size by 60% to a massive 530 rooms. Adding an objection to the environmental impact on the area due to increased traffic congestion and air pollution may be useful too.
