AfsarTech’s platform would not have been possible without the teamwork presented by our many qualified members. The synergy within our team between people with different specialties allowed us to pioneer a novel tool. Each of our members where able to provide expertise from their respective fields. Namely we would like to thank Sahar Dadvand, Amir Abdolmaleki, Kasra Karamifar, Jim Gutmann, and Ali Mohammad Saghiri. Finally, none of this would have been possible without the great team dynamic encouraged and nurtured by Dr. M Ali Saghiri.
Dr. Mohammad Ali Saghiri is the Director of Biomaterial and Prosthodontic Laboratory at Rutgers School of Dental Medicine. He is also an Adjunct Assistant Professor of Endodontics at the University of the Pacific School of Dentistry.
Dr. Sahar Dadvand received her dental degree from the University of Tehran in 2004. She worked as a general dentist for four years in Iran prior to moving to the United States. She received her DDS from the University of the Pacific (UOP) Arthur Dugoni School of Dentistry in San Francisco in 2010. Upon graduation, she completed a General Practice Residency at the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA) School of Dental Medicine in 2011.
After practicing as a general dentist for two years in the bay area, she pursued a postdoctoral residency in Endodontics at the Boston University Henry Goldman School of Dental Medicine. Dr. Dadvand has served as part-time faculty at the UOP School of Dentistry, is a specialist member of the American Association of Endodontists and is a member of both the California Dental Association, Northern California Academy of Endodontists, and the American Dental Association. She was determined Board Eligible by the American Board of Endodontics.
Dr. Amir Abdolmaleki's pivotal role in the Fitseal Project cannot be overstated. Hailing from the picturesque region of Kurdistan in western Iran, Dr. Abdolmaleki's academic journey has been marked by exceptional achievements. In 2005, he proudly obtained his PhD in chemistry from Shiraz University, solidifying his foundation in the field. Presently, he serves as a distinguished faculty member within the Department of Chemistry at the same esteemed institution, where he imparts his knowledge and expertise to the next generation of aspiring chemists.
Dr. Abdolmaleki's association with the Manners Group commenced in 2019 when he assumed the role of a visiting faculty member, fully immersed in the synthesis of Poly(ferrocenylsilanes) membranes. His unwavering dedication and innovative contributions have proven to be indispensable to the Fitseal Project's success.
Dr. Abdolmaleki's intellectual pursuits extend far beyond the laboratory. In his leisure moments, he finds solace and exhilaration in mountain climbing, biking, and camping, while also indulging in the world of novels. Equally cherished is the time he devotes to his loved ones, cherishing moments spent with family and friends.
Notably, Dr. Abdolmaleki's extensive expertise encompasses over two decades of dedicated research in Polyurethane-based materials. His prolific career has seen fruitful collaborations with both industrial and biomedical device sectors, leaving an indelible mark on advancements in these realms. Moreover, his altruistic nature is evident in his guidance and support for three separate startups across America and Canada.
Dr. Abdolmaleki's multifaceted contributions, both within academia and beyond, underscore his pivotal role within the Fitseal Project. His passion, knowledge, and collaborative spirit stand as a driving force, propelling the project towards groundbreaking achievements and transformative outcomes.
Kasra Karamifar DDS MS
Dr. Kasra Karamifar earned his dental degree and subsequently completed his Board of Endodontics training in 2010. He boasts a decade of experience as an accomplished Endodontist in Iran before embarking on a new chapter in the United States. Throughout his career, Dr. Karamifar has demonstrated a profound commitment to the field, publishing over 60 articles that contribute significantly to the realm of Endodontics.
Notably, his expertise has extended beyond research and writing, as he has also taken on the role of an esteemed lecturer in more than 10 countries. His engaging presentations have enriched the knowledge of fellow professionals and aspiring dental practitioners alike. Furthermore, Dr. Karamifar has established collaborative partnerships with prominent companies dedicated to Endodontic research, materials, and related devices.
His innovative contributions and dynamic engagement have solidified Dr. Karamifar's reputation as a trailblazer in the field of Endodontics, positively impacting the advancement of dental science and patient care.
