I am Vanessa Montorsi, an experienced college counselor with over 17 years in college advising, including 15 years as a Director of College Counseling. Throughout my career, I’ve been dedicated to helping students discover their best-fit colleges and guiding families through every step of the admissions process.
I am honored to have been named Connecticut School Counselor of the Year and a National Semi-Finalist for Counselor of the Year.
I am also an active member of several professional organizations, including the New England Association for College Admission Counseling (NEACAC), where I currently serve as Treasurer, the American School Counselor Association, and the Connecticut School Counselor Association.
My work and insights have been featured on Admissions Beat with Dartmouth College’s Director of Admission, Lee Coffin, and I frequently present at state and regional conferences on college admission topics. My passion lies in empowering students and families to approach the college process with clarity, confidence, and success.
Before my career in counseling, I was a proud NCAA student-athlete, starting all four years in college and competing in the post-season each year. I had the incredible opportunity to play in the College World Series during both my junior and senior seasons; an experience that continues to inspire my belief in teamwork, perseverance, and goal setting.
