Fitbit Versa 3 Keeps Saying !!TOP!! Download App

My versa is stuck on the download fitbit app screen. I have unconnected from the app and tried reconnecting because it stopped syncing. Now it wont pair to any device at all when trying to connect thru my fitbit app. Please help it's been over a month now.

I have had nothing but problems with my versa for the last year. I had a watch face stuck and now for the past 2 months the Download Fitbit App scrolling 24,/7. I cannot even shut off my fitbit. I have deleted app and reinstalled, deleted versa from my bluetooth & reinstalled app and nothing works.. I am so frustrated I am looking into the Google WearOS.

I am having the same problem with my versa lite. I got it a month ago. After 2 weeks I had a problem with syncing but sorted that out and now 2 days ago I've woken up and the screen is saying to set up download fit bit app. I have done all the things people suggest. I have even uninstalled app and reinstalled under a new email. I get to the screen setting up step 2 of 3 but it stays like this for ages (3 hours one time) and then fails!!! Has anyone else got any suggestions as to what I can do. Thanks in advance

Hi, I'm currently having the same problem you had, only getting to stage 2 of 3 and failing. My versa homescreen keeps saying - to start, download app. Which I've done. Have uninstalled and reinstalled under 2 different emails and still no joy. The versa is about to be thrown out of the window soon. Did yours manage to work in the end? If so, what did you do? Any advise or help is hugely appreciated.

I use VERSA since 2018 june without any problems. I am having the "download fitbit ap" error message with the fitbit logo on my screen for the last 2 weeks. I have a continous sync error. I did my versa reset, uninstalled the ap on my mobile and reinstalled. I tried almost everything possible. This happened some time after my software update. Can you suggest any solutions @JuanJoFitbit . Thx

I'm gettung thus error message as well. But I've done what they hv suggested here. Uninstaller app and reinstalling. I hv deleted device and added it bk . And redownloaded. It stops towards the end of downloading and says the error message again on fitbit and on the app just keeps saying downloading or searching for device.

did you choose to install a clock face that was in thethe new feature stores the last 5? I did and that is when the nightmare started on my original fitbit and the replacement one they sent me now too. for the last 2 hours it has been attempting a factory reset update and for the last 1/2 says it can not find my versa lite which is sitting right next to it.

I spent quite a few hours on unlocking my versa. The wallet was working just fine but went I went to the Wallet in the app it wanted me to enter a pin which should be the same as the phone lock screen pin. However, it was keep throwing me an error that it can't connect to versa. The same happened when I went to Device lock (I couldn't access it to reset the pin). The online chat support lady reccomended me to remove the cards (unable the wallet) via the fitbit.com access which I did. I rebooted everything, removed the wallet app etc. Nothing worked. In my watch when I pressed the left button and put a PIN in I was still able to see the credit cards but wasn't able to pay with them (the payment terminal said payment declined). I reseted the watch many many times. After hours what helped was to play around with the fitbit app in my laptop (not the online version). I removed screenlock from my phone and went to the computer app where I clicked on setting the device lock and somehow it did let me in. When I pressed the left button on my watch the cards weren't there anymore. I rebooted everything and went back to my phone app where I was finally able to set up the wallet from scratch. What a nightmare !!! Fitbit should really fix this crap before they charge you for an expensive toy that doesn't work as it should.

This happened to me again now, one year later and the same troubleshooting worked as a charm. The difference makes the fact that you download a windows fitbit app in windows store and connect your versa to a laptop. Then in the laptop app click on your versa where the fitbit wallet is, just scroll down and go to device lock and enable it. This resets the one from the phone lock to a pc lock. you don't even need to go through with the pc lock entirely as your watch won't have wallet available anymore. So you'll be able to set it all up from scratch.

I got my fitbit versa 2 yesterday as well and everything set up with Bluetooth, but I am getting the same issues as beardedlady and others after following the same/correct setup process. Mine is WEP protection as well and I tried "none" as well. I have an S8+ Android.

2 days ago, I charged my fitbit versa 2. Last night, I got confused because the batt is at 7%. So I charged it again. This morning, it was fully dead. I followed the troubleshoot of cleaning it with alcohol, changing usb adapters, from pc, laptop and wall outlet. I can't do the hold button to reset/reboot because as soon as I remove it from the charger, it will die before I even get a chance to hold the button. Right now, it rebooted and I've been charging it for almost 3 hours but it's still at 0%.

What is going on?? All of a sudden, after years of no problems, my Versa 2 keeps saying transcription error when trying to use talk to text. I have tried everything to fix it, including a factory reset of my Versa 2. Nothing worked. I didn't change any settings or anything. I can see that it hears my voice but it just keeps saying transcription error. And I see a lot of other people having the same issue w no response or help from Fitbit.

I received my versa 4 watch on 22nd Nov, 2023 and tried to update the tracker software but it keeps on failing and the fitbit app is stuck on installing status and then it ultimately fails. When the update starts, the status bar on the fitbit app just jumps to 78%. On versa4 it displays updating device for a moment and then device vibrates before displaying the error "Trying to connect..." (as depicted in attached photo)

My wife has had her fitbit versa since June 2018 and there has never been an issue however today her Samsung s9 has updated and since then when she selects the leaderboard on her fitbit it loads and then comes up with the error message 'hmm ..please allow the Internet access permission for the app to work' now I'm a tech and I have gone through the fitbit app permissions and there is no permissions for any Internet options... I have checked her fitbit and there is nothing there either... Google search brought me to here and all mentioning about a 3rd party app or clock face issue... Well that isn't the problem here.

When clicking on the leaderboard app on the watch, out of date steps show (I'm talking weeks out of date). Then a message saying "hmm connect to internet to update" or something similar. I've tried clearing the fitbit app cache on my phone and uninstalling leaderboard app on watch. There is no problem with internet connection. The steps update fine on the fitbit app on our phones. The issue is with the leaderboard app or the fitbit smart watches.

The whole reason I bought a fitbit versa was because I had a Charge HR (which I liked) and had a firmware update fail half-way through. This made the device completely unrecoverable, and it was 3 years old, so I was out of warranty and couldn't get a replacement. I saw many people on the internet had the same problem with the Charge HR. I am almost thinking this was intentional to force people to buy a new device. I should have gone with Apple -- but actually like fitbit devices better. Some of my fitness-freak friends tell me that Garmin is the best. They also agree fitbit is better than Apple.

No info like heart rate, # of steps etc is showing on the main screen of my Versa. Have shut it off and restarted a few times. Am trying to reset to factory settings now and it just keeps saying to "Download the fitbit app". I uninstalled the fitbit app on my android and reinstalled.

I removed my Versa Lite from the Fitbit app, I disconnected bluetooth, restarted my phone a few times, exited the Fitbit app several times, tried home wifi, tried bluetooth, and tried my phone network wifi.. the update took about 3 days (it seemed to keep disconnecting). Finally after removing my versa lite and re-uploading the Fitbit app, I can tell my watch is connected to my phone and the app is trying to update it. It's at 100% but just keeps loading on the app and the watch just keeps flipping between the initial interface of "download the Fitbit app" in several languages with the teal dots to the dots turning gray. Trying to be patient but just not sure what to do next. I use my watch for work every weekday and have not been able to do so this week

I've been trying to get my Fitbit Versa to update for over two months now. It just won't work. I've tried all of the recommendations (enable/disable bluetooth, turn off/on wifi, restart the fitbit, restart your phone, forget from bluetooth settings, uninstalled and reinstalled the app) and just within the last two days, my versa started having spasm like jolts between times and the screen hasn't been waking up when you move it (yes it's enabled to do that) or when you press the button.

hi i have uninstalled the deezer app from my fitbit apps reloaded it , unlinked my smartphone from where my fitbit syncs from re linked it , upon starting it up it says need to verify wifi connection to authenticate account and nothing. , have gone to fitbit.com/deezer to enter a authentication code but the deezer on the smart watch will not produce 1 just keeps telling me account expired. very frustrated it was working well , it says you need to ck in every 15 days to ck lic. and it is always on a charge next to the phone , wife is very disappointed she cannot listen to her music on her walks . ff782bc1db
