OpeN and Effective quantum Systems
PRIN 2022
The PRIN 2022 project ONES will strengthen the connection between the mathematical physics groups of Politecnico di Milano (PoliMi) and Gran Sasso Science Institute (GSSI), with an emphasis on the mathematical aspects of quantum theories.
The two main lines of research reflect the interconnection between the areas of expertise of the team in PoliMi and in GSSI:
the application of semiclassical and functional analytical techniques to the derivation of effective theories for many interacting bosons and quantum fields, possibly in interaction among each other;
the investigation of new mathematical aspects of open quantum systems.
