These events focus on in-depth research, analysis, and professional presentation, emphasizing students' ability to apply theoretical knowledge to real-world business scenarios.these require either a 10- or 20-page essay along with a presentation. There are various other requirements based on which event you choose. All events have a 2-person max!

In DECA, a case study is a competitive event format where participants are given a business scenario or problem and are required to develop and present a solution within a limited timeframe. These scenarios simulate real-world challenges in fields such as marketing, finance, hospitality, and entrepreneurship, allowing students to demonstrate their critical thinking, creativity, and business knowledge. Single person events are given 10 mins for prep and 10 mins for presentation while team events are given 30 mins for prep and 15 for presentation
