These Terms and Conditions ("Terms") govern your ("you" or "User") use of the Fish Identifier mobile application (the "App"), provided by Zion Studios ("we", "us", or "our").
Fish Identifier is an application that uses artificial intelligence, including Gemini-3 Flash and proprietary models, to identify fish species from images submitted by users.
By downloading, installing, or using the App, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the App.
By accessing or using the App, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agree to these Terms and any related policies referenced herein. These Terms form a legally binding agreement between you and Zion Studios.
We may update or modify these Terms from time to time by:
Posting the revised Terms within the App, or
Updating the effective date at the top of this document
Continued use of the App after changes become effective constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms.
Fish Identifier allows users to submit images of fish to receive AI-generated identification results, which may include species names, characteristics, and general informational content.
The App:
Does not require account creation
Operates without user profiles
Does not guarantee identification accuracy
Results are provided for informational and educational purposes only.
You agree to use the App only for lawful purposes and in accordance with these Terms.
You agree not to:
Upload unlawful, harmful, or abusive content
Upload images you do not have the right to use
Attempt to reverse engineer, copy, or misuse the App or its AI systems
Interfere with the App’s security or functionality
Use the App for commercial exploitation without written permission
You are solely responsible for the images you submit and any consequences arising from their use.
By submitting an image:
You confirm you have the legal right to use the image
You grant us a limited, temporary right to process the image solely to provide identification results
Images are:
Processed only for inference
Not retained long-term by us
Not associated with your identity
Not used to train AI models
Fish identification results are generated by artificial intelligence and may be inaccurate, incomplete, or outdated.
You acknowledge and agree that:
Results should not be relied upon for safety-critical decisions
The App should not be used as the sole basis for fishing, consumption, conservation, or legal determinations
We do not guarantee correctness or completeness of results
All rights, title, and interest in the App, including its design, code, content, branding, and AI systems, are owned by Zion Studios or its licensors and are protected by intellectual property laws.
You are granted a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the App for personal, non-commercial purposes only.
The App may offer free features and optional paid features or credits.
All payments are processed by the applicable app store.
Prices and availability may vary by region.
Refunds, billing issues, and cancellations are governed by the app store’s policies, not Zion Studios.
The App may rely on third-party services (such as AI providers and infrastructure services) to function.
We are not responsible for outages, errors, or changes caused by third-party services beyond our reasonable control.
You may stop using the App at any time by uninstalling it.
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate access to the App immediately if you violate these Terms or misuse the App.
The App is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, express or implied.
We disclaim all warranties, including but not limited to:
Merchantability
Fitness for a particular purpose
Accuracy or reliability of results
Uninterrupted or error-free operation
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Zion Studios shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or exemplary damages, including but not limited to:
Misidentification of species
Personal injury or property damage
Loss of data
Device or performance issues
Your sole remedy is to discontinue use of the App.
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the United States, without regard to conflict-of-law principles.
