Towe Widstrand

Towe Widstrand, BA, is a graduate of the University of Stockholm, Sweden in business and psychology. She has worked as a training consultant since the mid-1980s. After meeting and studying with Marshall since 1987, she devoted her professional life to sharing NVC and support the growth of CNVC.

"What immediately caught me was the acknowledgement of feelings in NVC and  how they lead us to our needs. Both territories that were quite unexplored for me at that time.

To gradually see how I am responsible for how my language can contributes to connection was groundbreaking. Then understanding how anger is created inside myself was an other big step.

I asked myself how I could in the best way share these insights with others."

Over the decades, Towe has conducted NVC-trainings in more than 20 countries, working in a wide variety of settings, including public organisations, private companies, public groups and with individuals. She assisted Marshall as a trainer in many IITs. She was part of founding the NVC-Training Institute. She served two terms as a Board Member of CNVC and as International Project Coordinator. Towe was an assessor since the certification process started. Towe resigned her role of assessor in 2024.
