Holley Humphrey

H.Holley Humphrey is a certified trainer with the Center for Nonviolent Communication, professional speaker and educator. Besides offering private Empathic Listening sessions, her passion is to create NVC educational games, videos and materials to make NVC come alive in hands-on playful ways. She is mostly known for inventing/creating the Giraffe and Jackal Ears that Marshall Rosenberg loved to use in his workshops. She began studying with Dr. Rosenberg in 1983 in the United States and followed him to Switzerland and Russia to learn more. Marshall used an excerpt from her article “Empathic Listening” in his book, “Nonviolent Communication, A Language of Life.”
