Supporting Children Returning to the Classroom
Supporting Children Returning to the Classroom
Most children have been at home and have been away from peers and their everyday routines for months. Some children have sadly been through other traumas on top of this difficult separation. When they return to centers and schools, some children will suffer extreme separation anxiety when they are no longer with their families or caregivers all day. This makes it vitally important that teachers and staff make plans to best support the social emotional and mental health needs of children in their classrooms.
These videos include conversations and activities to help adults support social emotional learning and positive mental health for children.
