Council Members
Members of the FCCECC include early care and education professionals from across Franklin County-- directors, teachers, Head Start, Family Resource Center Coordinators, the Public Library, trainers and consultants, and more!
Events
The FCCECC sponsors an annual school readiness event for families and young children. The Council co-sponsors Kids Fest with Franklin County Public Schools and the Frankfort Independent School District. Kids Fest is held at the Exum Center on the KSU campus.
Our Mission
Franklin County Community Early Childhood Council supports and strengthens the community by providing information to families, promoting quality in all early childhood programs, and to offer quality training to the early childhood stakeholders.
Council Meetings
The Council meets on the 4th Monday of each month at 1:00 in the Youth Services Program Room at Paul Sawyier Public Library, which is located at 319 Wapping Street, Frankfort, KY.
Annual Events
The FCCECC sponsors Kids Fest, a yearly community wide event for families and young children. The goal of Kids Fest is to help prepare children, families, and schools for the transition to kindergarten. The yearly event offers hands-on family activities, educational opportunities, kindergarten readiness information, and creates connections between families and participating community service providers.
Professional Development
The FCCECC sponsors several Super Saturday Trainings throughout the year! Be sure to check our schedule for more information on the time and location of upcoming training opportunities for early care and education teachers/providers.
Community Connections
The FCCECC sponsors a quarterly meeting for early care and education Directors. The Directors Cadre addresses the specific interests and needs of participating Directors. Training hours (ECE-TRIS credit) is also provided free of charge to participants.
