Last 17th September D'Alessandro-Vocino School opened to the 400 students who were eager to go back to their teachers and start this new school year. After two years of temporary situation with the location in two premises, due to work in progress in order to make the school a safer place, all students and teachers were happy to go to the renewed school.
After singing the European Anthem and the Italian Anthem, Mrs Incoronata Di Tullio, the new headteacher, greeted students, teachers and parents and called the roll. The most excited students were the children of the first year, who were ready to face more subjects and teachers. They walked the stairs and took the bandana offered by the teachers, who were waiting for them. Each class had a different colour to create a nice rainbow.
To welcome the students there were also two council memebers: Mrs Maria Ritoli, responsible for Art, and Mr Giovanni Villani Deputy Mayor.
They stressed the importance of education to build up the future of our children and recommended the students not to leave the school before getting their Diploma.
