Macroeconomics of Business Dynamism will run in the “summer” break: August 17-21, 2026
*** This course if fully online ***
We aim to cater to students across the globe. Towards this end, our program will have the following structure (see visualization below):
Live lectures: Daily from 8:00 London time
Live coding sessions: Only for topics on days 1-4.
Live coding A: Monday - Thursday from 10:30 London time.
Live coding B: Tuesday - Friday from 15:00 London time.
We offer 2 sets of "Live coding" sessions to cater to different time zones. "Live coding A" is primarily aimed at students who can attend the live lectures. "Live coding B" is aimed at students for whom attending live lectures is not convenient. Therefore, this session is lagged by one day so that students in these sessions have time to watch the lecture recording before attempting the problem sets. At registration, you are asked to self-select into one of the two coding sessions.
Throughout the course, we offer optional office hours. Students need to sign up for these in advance. While there is a dedicated slot for office hours, we realize that this timing may not be ideal for everyone. If you cannot find a convenient time, we'll do our best to arrange a different time on a case by case basis.
Monday 17th will also feature a research workshop dedicated to participants of the summer school. All participants are encouraged to submit a paper and to attend. However, the workshop will be competitive with the lecturers and TAs selecting only (up to) 6 papers for presentation.
