The Department of Justice is composed of two primary offices with which it conducts business.

• The State Attorney's Office is tasked with prosecuting people who commit serious criminal acts.
• The Public Defender's Office is tasked with guaranteeing a legal defense and counsel to criminal defendants.

These offices are quite literally opposites of each other and will often face off as opponents in the courtroom. If you're interested in playful competition and practicing law, you're the perfect fit for the Department of Justice!
