Gawan Fagard
I studied Art History at Vrije Universiteit Brussels and Freie Universität Berlin and obtained a PhD in Art History and Film Studies at Vrije Universiteit Brussels in association with Ludwig-Maximilians Universität Münich with the title Cinema and Contemplation. I was a visiting scholar at UC Berkeley and worked as a lecturer and film curator in various cultural organizations. I am also an initiator of the artist-run w-o-l-k-e cinema and co-founder of Cinemaximiliaan in Brussels. Today I am active as a film theory lecturer at the Film and Performance Studies section at Université Libre de Bruxelles and Lecturer in Philosophy and Cultural Theory at RITCS School of Arts.
