The mission of the Fire Management Symposium is to address the growing challenge of veld fires in South Africa by fostering informed dialogue, shared learning, and practical solutions. Through expert-led discussions and peer exchange. The symposium aims to support landowners, custodians, and fire managers in understanding fire legislation, evaluating fire management strategies, and implementing effective preventative measures, including Fire Protection Associations, aerial firefighting, and fuel load management.
