Fire alarm block plans, also known as zone block plans or fire detection block plans are diagrams clearly showing the fire detection zones in correspondence with the fire indicator panel. Predominantly used by the fire brigade, the zone in alarm on the FIP will be located on the block plan to determine the area of the fire risk.Additionally, the fire service company will use this to test detectors during their annual testing.
Fire hydrant block plans are diagrams clearly showing the fire hydrants, isolation valves and other relevant information to the fire hydrant system. Used by the fire brigade to determine the closest hydrants to the fire as well as additional system information to assist with extinguishing the fire. Hydrant block plans are to be water & fade resistant. This does not include laminated paper.
Fire sprinkler block plans are diagrams clearly showing the fire sprinkler protected areas, stop valves, operating instructions & other relevant system information. Predominantly used by the fire brigade to establish isolation & alarm valve locations, hazard class & protected areas of each sprinkler installation. Fire service companies will reference this to flow test ensuring the system complies with the required flow/pressure rates. Sprinkler block plans are to be water & fade resistant. This does not include laminated paper.
