What is the Fire resistant door

Fire resistant doors are used to reduce the potential damage to life and property from fire and resulting smoke.

Fire resistant doors are manufactured as 30 minutes, 60 minutes, 90 minutes and 120 minutes etc. according to the accepted standards of Sri Lanka.

Specific criteria are used to determine the resistance time of a fire door. The Sri Lanka Fire Service Department and authorized local authorities are the competent authority to decide on those criteria.
