A B O U T   M E

My spiritual journey and work on the planet has been to bring peace and balance.  With this energy work, I encourage land healing degradation, and emotional healing work to help people identify and release pain from old wounds and trauma. This creates a good basis to transform your life story.

This voyage began thirty years ago when I was living in London. I studied and became a Reiki Healing Master and Physic Medium. After 6 years, I found myself drawn to the healing traditions of the Native Americans of the Southwest.  My life at this point took a profound turn.

This took me from Canyon de Chelly on the Navajo reservation in Northeast Arizona to the Montana Sioux Sundance Ceremony.

While exploring the cliff dwellings and canyons of the Navajo Nation, I came upon my first petroglyphs. I met locals along the trails and in the beautiful canyons, and one most fortunate meeting was with a medicine man, Leon Skyhorse Thomas. I learned more than I had expected to. I lived with his parents in a Navajo dwellling, a hogan, overlooking the Lukachuckai and Chuska Mountains.  It was there that I participated in the centuries-old tradition of shepherding.  I learned about their culture and traditions and the collective power of community.

A year later, and wanting to learn more about traditions and ceremony from a different tribe,  I travelled to Billings, Montana. There, I contacted a woman by the name of Jackie Yellowtail, of the Sioux tribe, who lived nearby in Lodge Grass. When we met, she asked me why I had come?  I told her, I felt drawn to be there and trusted that our journey together would be revealed.  She then told me I was there to be included in the Sundance ceremony preparations with her brothers but first needed to go away and read the book written by her late grandfather, the Sun Dance chief.  Her tribe was preparing for their yearly Sun Dance ceremony, a most sacred 3 day ritual,  praying for all beings, a deep inner cleansing, and renewal.

I returned two days later, having read Grandfather Yellowtail"s book, which focused on years of leading the annual Sundance ceremony.  Never expecting to participate, as non-natives cannot attend, I was deeply moved, when John Pretty on Top, the current Sun Dance chief, invited me to join.  It was a profoundly deep experience,  to fast, pray and heal with others in such a sacred and emotional space. It made an impression on me that I will carry for the rest of my life.

After all this, it dawned on me, that my long time friend, Grandma Linda, a traditional Cherokee Elder who lives in El Paso, could  teach me alot more, so I began to apprentice with her.  Through her, I learned alot more regarding teachings, rituals, customs and songs.  

From all these incredible experiences, I am clear that the power of ritual and ceremony hold a place of deep importance. It is an ongoing and sacred pursuit for me.

I have lived for the passed 19 years in beautiful Moab, Utah, where I love to hold ceremony in the medicene circle on my land with groups of people, or do personal healings.
