FinVault is designed as a secure, offline utility for viewing financial statement files (such as OFX, QFX, and QBO formats).
This Privacy Policy explains how your information is handled when you use the App. By using FinVault, you agree to the terms outlined in this policy.
We DO NOT collect, store, transmit, share, or sell any of your personal or financial data. FinVault operates entirely offline on your device. When you import a financial document (OFX, QFX, QBO) into the App, the file is parsed and stored securely in local, encrypted databases entirely on your device. We do not have servers, and your financial data never leaves your smartphone.
To function correctly, FinVault utilizes the Android Storage Access Framework (the system file picker) to allow you to select files from your device storage.
Storage/File Access: This is used strictly to read the financial files you explicitly choose to open within the App. We do not scan, read, or access any other files on your device.
We value your privacy and security. Therefore, FinVault:
Does NOT include any third-party analytics trackers (such as Google Analytics or Firebase).
Does NOT include any advertising networks (such as AdMob).
Does NOT require or use an active internet connection.
Because your data is stored locally on your device and never transmitted to us, there is no data on our end to retain or delete. You have complete control over your data.
How to delete your data: You can instantly delete all financial data associated with the App by clearing the App's data in your Android Settings or by simply uninstalling FinVault from your device.
While we implement local encryption and follow Android's security best practices (such as disabling automatic cloud backups for the App's database), please remember that the security of your data ultimately depends on the physical and digital security of your device. We recommend using a strong device lock (PIN, password, or biometrics) to protect your phone.
FinVault is a financial utility application intended for a general audience, primarily adults (18 and older). We do not knowingly collect any personal information from children under the age of 13.
We may update our Privacy Policy from time to time if we add new features. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new Privacy Policy on this page and updating the "Effective Date" at the top.
