Take one trader buying one Finotive Funding evaluation. Same evaluation model, same account size, same configuration choices where the firm offers them (leverage, currency, platform). The only difference between the two runs is whether BONUS100 is entered in the coupon field before payment. Everything downstream of that field — the challenge itself, the rules, the funded account — is identical. That makes the comparison unusually clean, because a discount code at this firm affects exactly one number and nothing else.
Without the code, the path is: open the accounts or pricing section, choose the evaluation model, choose the account size, set any configuration options, continue to checkout, pay the listed total. The trader ends up with an account carrying a profit target, a daily loss limit and an overall drawdown limit, and a profit split on any funded stage that follows.
The fee paid here is the trader's real financial risk. The balance is simulated and the split is paid from profits, but the fee leaves the bank account on day one and is forfeited if a rule is broken and the account closes. Paying full price simply means that exposure is larger than it needed to be.
The second run is identical up to step five, where BONUS100 goes into the coupon, promo or discount field in capitals with no spaces. Applying it takes 35% off the challenge fee, so the payable total falls to 65% of the listed price. Before paying, confirm on the order summary that the total has actually dropped by 35% rather than assuming the field accepted the entry.
One detail to note: the discount applies at purchase and is used once per order. It is not a rebate you can claim afterwards from the client dashboard. So run one cannot be converted into run two after the event — the two paths diverge permanently the moment payment is confirmed.
The list of things the code does not touch is longer than the list of things it does:
Profit target, daily loss limit and overall drawdown limit
Minimum trading days and the payout schedule
Account size and profit split
The instruments available — forex pairs, metals, indices and commodities
The platform, with trading on MetaTrader infrastructure
A trader who passes on the discounted account and a trader who passes on the full-price account reach the same funded outcome. The only lasting difference is how much each spent to get there.
Because the saving is a percentage, the gap between the two runs widens with account size. On a small starter balance the difference is modest in absolute terms. On a multi-hundred-thousand account it is far larger, and 35% off a bigger tier can approach the undiscounted price of the tier below. That is worth weighing before you commit: the discounted price of a larger account may sit close to the full price of a smaller one, which changes the question from "how much do I save" to "which size am I actually buying".
Exact figures are not published here, and the account line-up and pricing are periodically reshuffled, so run the arithmetic against the firm's own current pricing page rather than against remembered numbers. The same applies to the instant-funding style accounts that skip the evaluation with tighter conditions, and to the faster single-phase option alongside the staged challenge with a verification phase.
Several things that matter to the outcome are not settled by either run and should be checked on the firm's site: the refund policy on fees, whether the daily loss is measured from balance or equity and when it resets, whether floating drawdown counts, how weekend and overnight holding are treated, and what the first withdrawal requires.
Trading leveraged instruments carries a real risk of loss, and most traders who buy prop firm challenges do not reach a payout. A 35% reduction lowers the amount at stake in the fee; it does not improve the odds of passing. Run two is cheaper than run one for the same product, and that is the whole of what the code does.
