Welcome to Finlandia, Founded on February 22, 2024, Finlandia emerged under the visionary leadership of our Supreme Leader Finn Pedersen, President Nate, and Prime Minister Niamh. Initially a bold declaration, it has since evolved into a robust nation with a resilient government structure firmly in place. Finlandia operates as a democracy with elections every four years, upholding principles of fairness, justice, and inclusivity. The government is led by a dedicated team overseeing vital sectors, ensuring efficient management across multiple areas. Finlandia’s unique geography, with its extensive river system and proximity to the coast, provides abundant natural resources and scenic beauty. The nation is committed to sustainable development, balancing economic growth with environmental preservation. Our economy is the backbone of Finlandia, complemented by emerging industries in high-end manufacturing, tourism, and office work. Education and healthcare in Finlandia are publicly funded, ensuring accessible services for all citizens. However, individuals with a net worth exceeding 100,000 Finlandian dollars are required to contribute 35% towards their healthcare costs, with private alternatives also available. The nation's robust social services reflect our commitment to equity and well-being. As a clean and green country, Finlandia prides itself on its extensive forests and environmental initiatives. Our goal is to maintain a high standard of ecological responsibility, striving to remove two units of pollution for every unit produced. This dedication to sustainability is a cornerstone of Finlandia’s national identity and vision for the future.
The establishment of Finlandia on February 22, 2024, marked a pivotal moment in its history. Initially perceived as a joke, the declaration by President Nate was soon endorsed by the Vice President, solidifying the nation's foundation. With the appointment of the Head of Security, the leadership began structuring the government, bringing in key individuals to manage various sectors.
However, Finlandia faced significant challenges early on. The scandal involving the former Minister of Tourism, accused of serious crimes, led to a dramatic police chase and turmoil within the government. Despite these challenges, the nation persevered, demonstrating its resilience.
Finnlandian conflicts
On Finlandia's inaugural day, the nation claimed the Mainland and Cessna Island. After Oliver seized Cessna Island, Finlandia declared war. The conflict involved fierce battles, resulting in Finlandia reclaiming the island and solidifying its territorial claims.
This conflict began when the Britania Scout Group attempted to seize a Finlandian Navy boat. Despite the minor injury of a stubbed toe by a captain, Finlandia declared war and successfully defended its territory.
Alex Island claimed a small forest under Finlandian control. Finlandia responded by invading the forest and other key targets, leading to Alex's retreat.
Finlandia aims to set an example of prosperity and innovation, improving its infrastructure and quality of life for all citizens. The government is committed to achieving sustainable growth and fostering a vibrant, inclusive society.
Finlandia’s territorial claims extend from the Rangitikei River mouth, following upstream to the Porangahau River on the east coast, stretching 12 nautical miles offshore. The nation includes Kapiti Island, Mana Island, and areas around Raetihi, Ohakune, Waiouru, and Tauhara Forest.
.Our territory extends into the Taupō region, encompassing the areas from Raetihi and Ohakune to Waiouru, Taharua, and Tauhara Forest.
A norther smaller area of Ruatiti Domain.
