Concept Paper About Financial Literacy
In today’s era, many adolescents face significant challenges, particularly overspending and over shopping. With the influence of social media, peer pressure, and online shopping, teens are exposed to constant advertising and the temptation to purchase unnecessary items, leading to impulsive buying and accumulating debt. Our group theorized that without a clear understanding of financial management, adolescents may struggle with poor financial habits that can persist into adulthood. Thus, it is essential to teach financial literacy to help teens avoid these pitfalls and prepare them for a more secure financial future. Our group, the FiniLiteracy aims to empower communities, particularly the youth, with practical financial education with the goal of educating young people about managing their spending habits and finances responsively. Our group aims to create a petition in Change.org and a website to help achieve our goals. We will be creating infographics and other related information connected to the dangers of overspending and over shopping especially to adolescents aging from 13 - 18. The scope of our project is to be able to reach students ages 13 - 18 to sign our petition. We will be requiring 1 week to develop this project, and we will start our promotion right after we have uploaded the website. We will also be using our own resources so the funding for this project will be close to none. Our expenses may only include the printing of campaign materials. We will also be using free services already offered by Facebook, Blogger, and Change.org. Should you have any questions about our project feel free to connect us at FiniLiteracy@gmail.com.
At FiniLiteracy, we are dedicated to foster a generation of financially savvy individuals. Our approach is to deliver engaging and informative content that equips teenagers with the necessary skills to navigate the complex world of finance. Join us in this exciting venture of learning and growth.
