Portal Frame AI Privacy Policy

The short version: everything happens on your device. We don't operate any servers for this app, we don't collect, transmit, or sell any of your data, and we have no way to see your camera feed, microphone audio, or your recordings.
Overview
Portal Frame AI ("the app," "we," "our") lets you record short videos of a hand gesture ("finger-frame") with a real-time visual effect applied inside the frame. This policy explains what data the app touches, how it's used, and what choices you have.
Data we access on-device
Camera — to show the live preview and record your Portal-frame videos. Processed on-device only, never transmitted.
Microphone — to capture audio alongside your recorded videos. Processed on-device only, never transmitted.
Photo Library — only when you tap "Save to Phone," to copy a finished recording into your Photos app. Written directly to your device's Photos library, never transmitted.
Recorded videos — stored in the app's local storage so they appear in your Library. Stays on your device until you delete it or uninstall the app.
App preferences (e.g. onboarding progress, Pro status) — remembered between launches using your device's standard app storage.
All hand-tracking, gesture detection, and visual effects run entirely with on-device processing. No camera frame, microphone audio, or recorded video is ever sent to us or to any third-party server. There is no backend for this app to send data to.
Data we do not collect
We do not collect, and the app does not contain, any of the following: account creation, email addresses, names, or other personal identifiers; analytics or usage-tracking SDKs; crash-reporting or telemetry services; advertising or ad-tracking identifiers; location data; contacts.
Because we don't collect any data, there is no cross-app or cross-site tracking, and no App Tracking Transparency prompt is shown.
In-app purchases
Portal Frame Pro subscriptions and the lifetime unlock are processed entirely by Apple through StoreKit (or Google Play Billing on Android). We never see your payment details — the store handles billing, receipts, and renewals directly. The app only reads back your purchase/entitlement status so it can unlock Pro features on your device. Data deletion
Because everything is stored locally: deleting a recording in the app's Library removes it immediately. Settings → Storage → Clear removes every recording stored by the app. Uninstalling the app removes all app data, including preferences and any recordings that haven't been saved to your Photos library.
There is no account to delete and no server-side copy of your data to request removal of, because none exists.
Children's privacy
Portal Frame AI does not knowingly collect personal information from anyone, including children. Since the app collects no personal data at all, no additional children's-privacy handling is required.
Your rights (GDPR / CCPA)
Because the app does not collect, store, or transmit any personal data to us, there is no personal data of yours in our possession to access, correct, export, or delete. Any request under GDPR, CCPA, or similar regulations can be resolved simply by deleting recordings in-app or uninstalling the app.
Third-party services
The app does not integrate any third-party analytics, advertising, or data platform. In-app purchases are handled by the App Store / Google Play; no other third party has access to app data.
Changes to this policy
If this policy changes — for example, if a future version of the app adds a feature that uses a network service — we will update this page and the "Last updated" date above, and update the in-app copy accordingly.
