Information We Do NOT Collect

We do NOT collect, store, or transmit any personal information. This includes your name, email address, phone number, or contacts.
We do NOT record, store, or upload your audio. The App is designed to process sound locally on your device in real-time. We do not save any sound recordings to your device's storage or send them to our servers or any third parties.
Information We Process (Microphone Access)
The only "information" the App uses is live audio from your device's microphone.
How we use it: The App continuously listens for a specific sound pattern—the sound of a loud clap (or double clap). This listening happens in the foreground when the app is open and active, or in the background when you have activated the "background listening" feature.
How we process it: The audio from your microphone is processed entirely locally on your device. It is analyzed in real-time by our sound detection algorithm to identify the unique acoustic signature of a clap. Once the analysis is complete, the audio data is immediately and permanently discarded. It is never saved to a file or sent over the network.
Purpose of Microphone Access
We request access to your microphone for the sole purpose of enabling the App's core function: to detect your clap and trigger a visual and audible alarm on your phone to help you locate it. There is no other use for this permission.
Permissions
The App requests the following permissions on your Android device:
Microphone: To listen for the clap sound, as explained in detail above.
Run in Background (or similar): To allow the clap detection to work even when the App is not on your screen, so you can find your phone from another room.
Data Sharing
We do not share any user data with anyone. Since we do not collect or store personal information or audio recordings, there is nothing to share with third parties, advertisers, or analytics companies.
Security
We implement reasonable technical measures to ensure that the audio processing happens locally and is not exposed. However, no method of electronic transmission or storage is 100% secure, but we have designed our App to minimize data handling by not collecting it in the first place.
Children’s Privacy
Our App is not intended for use by children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
