Michael Benjamin Watts

1983 - 2021

Michael Watts, 37 years old, a kind and talented young man, was murdered in Portland, Oregon, Saturday, May 1st, 2021. During the ‘May Day Riots’. Michael was being chased by a group while on cellphone with his Fiancee Amanda. He said “they’re right behind me” the call then ended abruptly.

May 11th, 2021 Police recovered Michael’s body from the Willamette River. Exact circumstances and perpetrators are still under investigation. The national outpouring of grief testifies to the light he brought during his life.

Michael was born May 17th, 1983 to Susan and Patrick Watts and graduated from Adolfo Camarillo High School in California.

Michael was an accomplished Martial Artist, Bodybuilder, Hollywood Actor, Stunt-Man, Performer Freddie Hollywood, Stage Comedian, & Nightclub Doorman. In recent years Watts concentrated on his thriving career in Private Security.

Michael Watts was politically very conservative, and also very active with L.G.B.T.Q. events and causes. Michael Watts was highly critical of what he often termed "Antifa Riots are turning Portland into a sewer of lawlessness". However Michael was also an avid supporter of the B.L.M. Black Lives Matter Movement, and it's peaceful Protests. Watts was very pro-police, law and order, and was strongly in favor of increased funding to Police training reform.

Everyone that knew Michael Watts consistently described him as highly intelligent and extremely compassionate, and one long term friend notably said "Michael was a multi-talented, musclebound genius, with a heart of gold.”

Michael Watts is survived, mourned, and missed,
by his Mother Susan, Sister Karlee, Fiancee Amanda,
and countless friends.
