Find Me App

This document outlines the Privacy Policy (Section I) and Terms of Service (Section II) governing the use of the Find Me mobile application . By installing or using the Find Me app, you agree to be bound by both sections of this agreement.

I. 🔒 Privacy Policy

A. Data Collection and Usage (Zero Data Collection)

The Find Me app is designed to maximize your privacy and operates under a strict zero data collection policy.

1. No Personal Data Collection: We do not collect, store, or transmit any personally identifiable information (PII), personal data, usage data, or diagnostic data from your device.

2. No Accounts or Logins: The app does not require or support user accounts or login credentials.

3. No Data Transmission: The app does not transmit any information, including audio, trigger words, or unique device identifiers, over the internet.

4. No Third-Party Analytics: We do not use third-party analytics, tracking, or advertising services.

B. Voice Trigger Functionality (Offline Processing)

The primary function of the app is to listen for a user-defined trigger word and cause the device to buzz or play a sound.

1. Local Processing Only: The word matching model is installed on your device and runs entirely offline.

2. No Recording or Storage: The audio listened to by the app is processed momentarily by the offline model to detect the trigger word. It is never recorded, stored, or sent anywhere.

3. Microphone Access: The app requires access to your device's microphone only to perform this real-time, local audio processing when the Find Me feature is actively running.

C. Permissions Required

The Find Me app requires minimal permissions solely to enable its intended function:

Permission Purpose

Microphone/Audio Recording To listen for the user-defined trigger word (processed locally and momentarily).

Vibration/Media Controls To cause the device to buzz or play a sound when the trigger word is detected.

II. ⚖️ Terms of Service

A. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using the Find Me app, you signify that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms of Service.

B. License to Use the App

We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to download and use the Find Me app for your personal, non-commercial use on a single mobile device owned or controlled by you, strictly in accordance with this agreement.

C. Restrictions on Use

You agree not to, and you will not permit others to:

1. Modify, adapt, translate, reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble the app.

2. Use the app for any illegal or unauthorized purpose.

3. Attempt to interfere with or disrupt the integrity or performance of the app.

D. Disclaimer of Warranties

The Find Me app is provided to you "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE" with all faults and defects without warranty of any kind. We make no warranty that the app will meet your requirements, achieve any intended results, be compatible or work with any other software, applications, systems, or services, operate without interruption, meet any performance or reliability standards, or be error-free. The effectiveness of the trigger word detection can vary based on your device, environment, and background noise.

E. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, in no event shall Find Me or its suppliers be liable for any special, direct, indirect, or consequential damages whatsoever (including, but not limited to, damages for loss of profits, loss of data or other information, business interruption, personal injury, or loss of privacy arising out of or in any way related to the use of or inability to use the app).
