FindIt — Privacy Policy

Overview
FindIt is a personal organization app that helps you remember where you put things and where you parked. FindIt does not require you to create an account, does not show ads, does not use analytics or tracking, and does not sell, rent, or share your personal information with anyone. Everything you enter is stored privately on your own device.
Information we handle
FindIt stores the containers, items, quick drops, and parking locations you create. This information is saved only in the app's private storage on your device. FindIt has no server and does not upload this data anywhere.
Location
FindIt uses your device's location only to save where you parked. When you tap "Save Parking Location," it records a single GPS reading at that moment. The optional Automatic Parking feature captures one GPS reading when your chosen car's Bluetooth disconnects — even if the app is closed — but never tracks your location continuously and does not record where you drive. Automatic Parking is off by default, requires your explicit consent, and can be turned off at any time in the app's Parking settings.
Bluetooth
FindIt reads your list of paired Bluetooth devices so you can choose which one is your car, and listens for that device connecting or disconnecting. It does not read messages, contacts, audio, or any other data over Bluetooth.
Microphone and voice
The microphone is used only when you tap the mic to speak a command. Speech is converted to text by your device's own speech recognition; FindIt does not record or store audio.
Data sharing
We do not sell, rent, trade, or share your personal information with third parties. FindIt has no backend server, no analytics platform, and no advertising network.
Children's privacy
FindIt is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
Deleting your data
You can erase everything using "Reset — delete all data" inside the app, or by uninstalling FindIt. Since nothing is stored anywhere else, no data remains afterward.
Security
Your data is protected by your device's own operating-system-level app protections. Because FindIt keeps everything on-device and never transmits it to a server, there is no remote database that could be breached.
Changes to this policy
If FindIt's data practices change, this page will be updated with a new "last updated" date.
