The Department of Journalism and Communication is awarded the trophy for its outstanding performance
Our department was awarded a trophy and certificate in 2016 for its outstanding performance in teaching, research, and community service, taking 2nd place from the College of Social and Humanities.
The department was honored in the award of appreciation and recognition organized by the College of Social and Humanities today.
The department was awarded an additional certificate of accreditation following the complete passing of the students who passed the exit exam issued in 2016.
In addition to the departments, the College has also recognized teachers who have excelled in various fields and awarded them certificates of accreditation.
We would like to thank the teachers, administrative staff and students of the department for their generosity.

Landslide in Geza Gofa Woreda, Gofa Zone, Southern Ethiopia on 21-22 July 2024.
At least 257 were reported dead, and over 15,000 were affected.
Immediate needs: food, Emergency Shelter/Non-Food Items (ES/NFI), Water, Sanitation, Hygiene (WaSH), and health supplies.
Ongoing search and rescue operations; death toll expected to rise.
Multiple emergencies in the area including malaria, measles, communal conflict, drought, and floods.
