Practical Information

När du anländer/When you arrive

🇸🇪 Talare på konferensen, båda inbjudna och övriga, samt åhörare som betalat konferensavgiften ombeds registrera sig vid ankomst. Registreringen öppnar klockan 12 på fredagen och håller öppet under eftermiddagen. Använd Humanistens huvudingång, där hittar du informationsdisken där våra konferensvärdar hjälper dig med registreringen. 

Informationdisken kommer också att vara bemannad under lördagen, från klockan 8.45. Behöver du hjälp med att hitta inne i byggnaden eller vill fråga något annat under konferensens gång är du välkommen att uppsöka informationsdisken. 

🇬🇧 All speakers (both invited and others), and conference attendees who have paid the conference fee, are asked to please register upon arrival. Registration opens at 12 on the Friday and will be open throughout the afternoon. Use the Humanisten building's main entrance and you will find the information desk where our conference hosts will help you register.  

The information desk will also be manned during the Saturday, from 8.45 am. If you need directions or have questions about some practical matters during the conference, you're welcome to ask at the information desk.

Hitta hit/Finding your way

🇸🇪 Från Göteborgs Centralstation: Att promenera från centralstationen till Humanisten tar ca 30 minuter. Sträckan trafikeras också av spårvagnar. Den spårvagnshållsplats som ligger närmast Humanisten heter Korsvägen. Hit kan man åka från hållplatsen Centralstationen (som ligger på Drottningtorget framför centralstationens huvudbyggnad) med  Spårvagn 2 och Spårvagn 4.

För aktuell trafikinformation, hållplatslägen, och avgångstider rekommenderas Västtrafiks app "Västtrafik To Go". 

Biljetter kan antingen köpas i appen "Västtrafik To Go" (läs mer här) eller i automat på spårvagnen med contactless bankkort (läs mer här).

Från Landvetters flygplats: VYs flygbusslinje (läs mer om tidtabeller och biljetter här) stannar vid Korsvägen. Resan tar ca 30 minuter.

Hitta från Korsvägen till Humanisten: Det finns två huvudsakliga vägar, en med trappor och en lite längre utan trappor. Länk till vägbeskrivning via trappor här och länk till vägbeskrivning utan trappor här. 

Hitta från Comfort Hotel Panorama till Humanisten: Detta är en cirka 10 minuters promenad där man kommer mot Humanistens baksida. En vägbeskrivning fram till Humanistens huvudentré från hotellet hittar ni här.

From Gothenburg Central Station: Walking from the Central station to Humanisten takes about 30 mins. But the route is also served by two tram lines. The tram stop closest to the conference venue is Korsvägen. From the tram stop Centralstationen (which is on the square in front of the main central station building) you can go to Korsvägen with tram number 2 and tram number 4. 

You can find up to date information about departures, directions, and traffic conditions in the app called "Västtrafik To Go" which you can download for free to your smartphone. 

Tickets for the tram can be bought in the app (read more about that here) or by tapping your contactless card on the reader inside the tram (read more about that here)

From Landvetter Airport: The airport busservice run by Vy (read more about tickets are timetables here) stops at Korsvägen. The trip takes about 30mins.

Finding your way from Korsvägen to Humanisten: There are two main ways of getting from Korsvägen to Humanisten, one via stairs and one slightly longer without stairs. Link to a route description via stairs here and link to a route description without stairs here.

Finding your way from Comfort Hotel Panorama to Humanisten: This is approximately a 10min walk (mainly downhill) where you'll be approaching Humanisten from behind relative to where the main entrance is. A description of the route from the hotel to the main entrance is here.

Konferensmiddag/Conference Dinner

🇸🇪 Konferensmiddagen äger rum på kvällen den 8:e juni. Alla talare och konferensdeltagare är välkomna att vara med på middagen, som kommer att hållas på Elite Park Avenue, cirka tio minuters promenad från universitetslokalerna där konferensen äger rum. Kostnaden för middagen är 300kr per person, och detta måste förbetalas i samband med registrering till konferensen. Middagen är helt vegetarisk, allergier och liknande ska uppges i samband med registreringen. I kostnaden ingår endast maten. Drycker med och utan alkohol kan köpas i baren till självkostnadspris (endast kortbetalning!). 

Här är en vägbeskrivning som hjälper dig att dig från Humanistiska fakulteten till Elite Park Avenue. 

🇬🇧 On the evening of Saturday June 8th, there will be a conference dinner to which all conference speakers and participants are most welcome! The dinner will be held at Elite Park Avenue, which is located a 10-minute walk from the conference venue. The cost is 300 SEK per person. This covers the food, which will all be vegetarian, and needs to be pre-paid in connection with the registration. Please report any allergies or intolerances when you register for the conference. There will be a bar open throughout the dinner where you can buy wine, beer, and non-alcoholic beverages at your own expense (payment by card only!).

Lunch/Lunch

🇸🇪 Lördagen den 8:e och söndagen den 9:e juni kommer lunchrestaurangen på plan 4 i byggnaden att vara öppen så att man kan köpa lunch. (De flesta andra lunchrestauranger i området kommer att vara stängda eftersom det är helg). Betalning endast via kort (eller Swish). Under fredagen den 7:e är lunchrestaurangen stängd eftersom konferensen inte börjar förrän klockan 13, men då har å andra sidan andra restauranger i området öppet. 

🇬🇧 On Saturday the 8th and Sunday the 9th, the campus cafeteria on the 4th floor will be open so that you can buy lunch there during the lunch break in the schedule, at your own expense (most lunch places around in the area are otherwise closed on the weekend). Payment by card (or the Swish-app) only! On the Friday, the cafeteria is closed since the conference doesn’t start until 1pm, but on the other hand, most regular lunch places in town will be open so that you can eat before the conference starts. 

Övernattning/Accommodation

🇸🇪 Organisatörsgruppen har reserverat ett antal hotellrum på Comfort Hotel Panorama (giltigt till och med 2024-05-08) samt på Hotell Lorensberg (giltigt till och med 2024-04-26), som konferensdeltagare kan boka till rabatterat pris. Först till kvarn gäller! Båda hotellen ligger på bekvämt gångavstånd från universitetslokalerna där konferensen äger rum. Information om hur du ska gå till väga för att boka och ta del av erbjudandet kommer att gå ut via e-post till deltagarna i samband med registreringsinformation, men du kan också kontakta organisatörsgruppen på filosofidagarna2024@flov.gu.se och be om instruktionerna. 

Det finns också gott om andra hotell och vandrarhem att välja på i centrala Göteborg.

🇬🇧 The organizers have reserved a limited number of hotel rooms at Comfort Hotel Panorama (offer available until 2024-05-08) and at Hotell Lorensberg (offer available until 2024-04-26) that will be available for conference attendees to book at a discounted rate, on a "first come first served" basis. Both hotels are located at a comfortable walking distance from the conference venue. More information on how to book and what discount codes to use will be distributed via e-mail to participants, but you can also contact the organization committee at filosofidagarna2024@flov.gu.se in order to find out. 

There are also plenty of hotels and hostels in central Gothenburg generally, and in the area close to the venue in particular.
